Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
We are just getting started with the Wiced SDK and are trying to understand how to use the HTTP server functionality. While there are numerous demos, the use case contexts are not clear. The simple case of displaying a static web page is self evident, but we need to have a web page where there is information displayed in editable fields, allow the user to change the data, and submit the page back so we can react to the changes.
There is a config_http_content module that seems close to what we want to do, but it is not clear how some of the elements in the http page are accessed or processed.
I am searching for documentation that might describe the api and processing model for this sub component of the SDK. Any pointers or suggestions for how to learn the conceptual model without having to grind through chanding and testingwith the examples?
Show LessHi team:
I will like to know if it is possible to get support for SSH and VPN with the SDK. I haven't found anything on this.
Many thanks
Luis
Show LessHi,
I'm using SN8000x EVB from Murata + Wiced SDK 3.1.0, I want to use the SDIO on that board for sd card interfacing. From the SDK I can see a
wiced_result_t wiced_init( void )
{
WPRINT_WICED_INFO( ("\nStarting WICED v" WICED_VERSION "\n") );
CHECK_RETURN( wiced_core_init( ) );
//CHECK_RETURN( wiced_wlan_connectivity_init( ) );
return WWD_SUCCESS;
}
I commented out the wiced_wlan_connectivity_init( ) function which initialize WLAN driver...
Is there anything else that I need to do so that I can isolate the SDIO port from WLAN using it and proceed using SDIO for my SD card interface....
Show LessI would like to test this component for a project but I need more precision about this product:
Voltage range
Operating and storage temperature range
Current consumption
Size
Frequency
Input/output
Etc.
Show LessHi,
I am using BCM9WCD1EVAL1 with BCM943362WCD8 for iot and planning to use the WICED multi-application support for it.
Problem is that I am not able to find any kind of documentation or forum support for it. If anybody has used it or know where can I find some documentation associated with it, please help.
Thanks in advance.
Show LessSDK 3.1.2 has a bunch of DCT functions that are marked as deprecated, but provides no alternative. Strangely wiced_dct_get_security_section (for example) has the following comment:
* @deprecated Please use @wiced_dct_get_security_section instead.
* Function is not compatible with a DCT located in external flash, and will
* be removed in future SDK versions
So the deprecated function recommends to use itself or is it a typo? What should actually be used to read/write DCT? Most other functions just keep pointing to other deprecated or non-existent functions.
Show LessHello,
Here is my requirement. I want to bring up the module in STA mode so that it can connect to external cloud and while maintaining the connection with cloud, the device should also get into P2P mode where it can communicate with other wifi devices.
To start with, first i tried P2P mode alone, two WICED modules were able to associate one as owner and another as client, and after this next thing is i want to exchange data between them., so i am trying to open socket in P2P mode, but on client side tcp connect is giving error., i am using SDK 3.1.2.
do i need to call wiced_network_up(p2pmode) before i attempt socket communication between peers??
I am not able to find any relevant example or documentation. By the way one similar discussion on the forum talked about issues with separate cache arrays for ARP for each mode, i have tried that too, no luck...
Thanks,
Raghu
Show Lesshi
i am trying to download using ota fr example, but i got message which is " Error setting application size".
Download does not work.
i am using sdk version 3.1.2, bcm9wcdusi09 module and WM-N-09_EVB.
serial flash is "SST25VF080B" and 8Mbit.
do you konw how to handle this?
thanx

in the SDK 3.1.2 , can the wiced_multicast_join() function use in the p2p interface.?
Show LessHi,
I don't know if I'm just missing something in my way to implement a new thread or if the problem comes from somewhere else.
I'm using ThreadX and when I create a thread in the application_start, the function wiced_rtos_create_thread doesn't return, the thread is created and starts and the loop inside works well, but I can't put any code after creating one thread in my main thread.
I tried to find if there was a way to stop and start the thread handler in order to create a new thread, but it seems that the function tx_thread_create called by wiced_rtos_create_thread takes care of everything. And looking at the way it is implemented in the tcp_server snip example it seems that a simple call does the job.
It's kind of hard to see what really happen by debugging.
If somebody have any idea or even direction to look at, I would be glad to hear you.
Thank you in advance,
Martin
