Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
Howdy folks,
Curious to know when this particular chip will hit the market. Any ideas from you cypress folks? Also, along the same vein, looking for a contact method to try and get a sample in pre-release. Whats the best method to do that? Is there a list of requirements somewhere I can use to see if I qualify to snag one?
Show LessThe WLAN firmware CLM download feature breaks compatibility and it also introduces new problems.
Can you provide WLAN firmware without CLM download feature?
I think cypress should provide a build option to disable the new feature if it brekas compatibility,
so existing users won't hit compatibility issue.

Show LessI'm trying to find out if there is an auto complete function for code entry in WICED Studio 6.1
I seem to think it was there in earlier version but it seems to be missing in the latest version. is there a way to set it/enable it?
Thanks

Show LessI use below API to scan forever:
wiced_bt_ble_observe(WICED_TRUE, 0, my_scan_results_cb);
In normal case, the buffer usage is:
07:12:30.059568 --- Bluetooth(Pool type: A-App, I-Internal) Buffer summary ---␍␍␊
07:12:30.001032 Pool(size,type) Available In-use Total Max-used␍␍␊
07:12:30.008032 --------------------------------------------------------␍␍␊
07:12:30.014032 00( 64, A): 16, 0, 16, 5␍␍␊
07:12:30.020032 01( 360, A): 16, 0, 16, 3␍␍␊
07:12:30.027032 02( 360, A): 6, 0, 6, 0␍␍␊
However, sometimes the scan stop working.
The buffer usage becomes:
07:15:31.027000 --- Bluetooth(Pool type: A-App, I-Internal) Buffer summary ---␍␍␊
07:15:31.034000 Pool(size,type) Available In-use Total Max-used␍␍␊
07:15:31.041000 --------------------------------------------------------␍␍␊
07:15:31.047000 00( 64, A): 16, 0, 16, 5␍␍␊
07:15:31.054000 01( 360, A): 16, 0, 16, 3␍␍␊
07:15:31.058000 02( 360, A): 6, 0, 6, 1␍
Every time the Max-used count for large buffer becomes 1, the scan stop working.
It does not report any error but just silently get no scan result.
Note, I had reported this before but don't any fix.
Just check the status in sdk-5.1, it still has such issue.

Show LessAre there any extensible existing solutions for writing the filesystem.bin to the external flash?
I am trying to port to the 6.1.0 SDK, but resolving the issue of the Wifi FW & CLM blob is a blocking issue.
I have both a JLink and an STLink debugger, but it looks like I cannot use either for this take.
My hardware uses an SWD connection, which does not appear to be an option with the JLink setup with OpenOCD.
As as far as I can tell, there is no SDK support for using an STLink.
Is there any existing method or tool in the SDK to write the images to the flash, without needing an FTDI debugger and the full JTAG port?
One minor detail is that I would like to retain the ability to define the headers as needed, since I have a large serial flash chip and will be using one section for data storage (used to be the FS section, now will be APP2 probably so FS index can be used for Wifi FW).
Show LessHi All,
Just wondering if any one has seen this issue before.
I am running the snip/ping_webserver example provided by the WICED SDK, 2.4.0.
I am able to receive the web pages and AJAX responses on my browser from the target.
The problem occurs when I "refresh" the ping web page or open new browser tabs to connect to target, the http server would then stop responding.
I added some debug statements in http_server.c, http_server_thread_main(),
one after wiced_tcp_accept() and another after wiced_tcp_receive().
When multiple requests are made (refreshes on browser, new tabs, etc), the receive() never returned.
I suspected it's due to "WICED_WAIT_FOREVER" configuration for the time out parameter in wiced_tcp_receive().
So I tried both 1 and 5 second(s) instead.
The http server no longer locks up, but performs poorly with multiple requests. (image is not responded, or even the entire page is not served.)
Information about my environment:
Version of the WICED SDK: 2.4.0
Target: SN8200x from MURATA
Software Stack: ThreadX, NetX_Duo
Thank you so much for reading through my issue.
Regards,
Peter
Show LessHello to all Cypress' ninjas!
Can you please help me establish a secure connection to Azure's IoT Hub?
I am using the secure_mqtt example application from the latest WICED 5.2 SDK.
With some fiddling around I managed to get the mbedTLS' debug messages.
I am attaching the TLS handshake.
The debug level threshold is set to 3.
As you will see, the handshake breaks at state 7.
At that point, there is a precise data bus error, with the offending instruction being at ssl.tls.c:4278 ( n = crt->raw.len; )

Show LessIs there a way to change the SPI configuration CPOL = 0 and CPHA = 0 on CYW43907 in WICED Studio? It seems that changing the mode inside the wiced_spi_device_t structure doesn't change anything.
Many thanks in advance.
Show LessI am trying to update my 43341 to the latest firmware package to patch the KRACK vulnerabilities, but noticed in the WICED Studio 6.0.0 release that there are only images for the 43340. Is it possible to just use this firmware file, or will it disable the NFC?
Thanks
