Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
We are working on STM32F412,and we want to use existing IAR project on STM32F411, which does not has wifi.
STM32F412 has both wifi and BT. we are using WICED only for wifi support, but we can already use our existing code with minor changes on IAR,Is there any way to import WICED SDK to IAR ? Please let me know or please ponit me to relevent thread.
Thanks,
Suresh
Show LessHello, i was trying to join a different wifi network by using the wiced_network_down() method, but it fails. I searched around and found that it fails because the wiced_ip_down() method fails, however if i call wiced_leave_ap() it successfully disassociates the station(my device ) from the AP and i am able to join another AP. Am i doing somehing wrong? Or is it a bug?
Show LessI am having a hard time porting this over to CrossStudio ARM. The code is a real mess unless you use Eclipse. Also, it seems you have to use ThreadX. I tried other options such as NoOS, etc and it would not compile. Why do we need ThreadX to do a simple WiFi application? I would really like a simple layout that can be ported over and if I do want to add concurrency and threads, then I can do that easier than this layout.
Show LessI noticed WICED-SDK-3.5.2 supported IAR Embedded Workspace and haved read seyhan's <<How to bring a WICED SDK into Eclipse>>.
Can seyhan show us how to bring a WICED SDK into IAR Embedded Workspace?
The best is to build a clean project we can compiled and download, such as 'snip.scan-BCM943364WCD1_EVB'.
Thanks.
Show LessTesting with FreeRTOS+LwIP build on 43438.
Compare to TLS-v1.1, the TLS-v1.2 https request throughput is very bad.
The number of https request sent per minute with TLSv1.1 is 14 times of TLSv1.2.
In additional, when ble scan and sending https request at the same time,
the device will hang if using TLS-v1.2.
Show LessHi all,
I would like to choose the best WiFi (2.4GHz) channel for my application, which acts as AP.
Unfortunately I'm getting an error when calling wiced_wifi_find_best_channel():
wiced_res = wiced_wifi_find_best_channel(WICED_802_11_BAND_2_4GHZ,
&channel,
&cca_score);
wwd_wifi_get_cca_for_channel: send_iovar req_buf FAIL 2023 chan 1
2023 is standing for Unsupported functionality, I guess.
I've tried also get channel number in STA, and WiFi disabled state -> but the result was exactly the same.
Questions:
1. Any additional steps should be taken to find suitable for communication channel?
2. Is there any possibility of enabling Autochannel Selection in SDK for 43903 chip?
3. Is there any other way to retrieve WiFi channel quality on this chip?
I would be grateful if somebody could help me to deal with this matter.
Show LessI use the 802.11n in CYW43907. I found that the function wiced_wifi_set_ht_mode() can modify the bandwidth to HT40. In STA port, it return success, but in AP port it return the error code 2001. How to set the AP to HT40M? Is this method right?
Show LessHello,
I want to use the library Bluetooth Internet Gateway ("BIG") while using the library AMQP to scan and connect BLE objects by sending message from Azure Ioy Hub.
And it possible to do it according to you?
Or is it better to return to the use of the library wiced bt_smartbridge with the library AMQP?

Hello,
I'm currently working with Azure Iot hub and amqp v1.0 protocol on Wiced 6.1.
I have two questions concerning emission and reception frames.
1 - When I send a message I obtain special characters on Azure even if the message is empty (see below) :
(#define AMQP_MESSAGE_STR "HELLO WICED")
One special character if the frameis empty = #define AMQP_MESSAGE_STR ""
two special characters if the frame is not empty (with a json frame) = #define AMQP_MESSAGE_STR "Json frame"
what should I do to remove them ?
2 - When I receive a message but it is an empty frame (I added some modifications to use the demo with a receiver link):
WICED_AMQP_EVENT_TRANSFER_RCVD works but data is empty.
Can you help me ?
Show LessHi,
Test on sdk-6.1. (The same errors on sdk-6.0.1)
I got a lot of HCI errors during boot if ENABLE_BT_PROTOCOL_TRACES is defined.
My testing code is pretty simple as it just calls wiced_bt_stack_init() then start wiced_bt_ble_observe().
I got below error after calling wiced_bt_stack_init() .
The HCI command 0xfc2e/0xfc4c seems to be HCI_CMD_OPCODE_WRITE_RAM/HCI_CMD_OPCODE_LAUNCH_RAM.
The BLE still working but these Errors seems abnormal things....
I have no idea what's going on, maybe someone from cypress can clarify if this is a problem or not.
