Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
Hello,
I haveeither
BCM9WCD1EVAL1 and Avnet BCM4343W boards. Have been trying to get an application with both Wi-Fi + BLE going, such as BLE-Wi-Fi introducer, iBeacon (BLE only), but the applications are either not supported or don't work.
What is the latest Evaluation Board/Kit that can be used to test both Wi-Fi and BLE in a ready to go demo? What demo can be used?
Show Less- We can use ethtool or iw command to get the information about the channel of Linux systems, for example:
$ iw dev wlan0 survey dump

Survey data from wlan0
frequency: 2422 MHz [in use]
noise: -95 dBm
channel active time: 19404338429 ms
channel busy time: 3082398273 ms
channel receive time: 2510616517 ms
channel transmit time: 371240518 ms

- Can we retrieve similar information on the CYW943907AEVAL1F board (if yes, how?). I am specifically interested in channel/airtime utilization.
- I am using Netx Duo, and CYW943907AEVAL1F is a client associated with the access point. I would like to get the channel utilization of the channel/bssid it is currently associated.
Show LessHello
I'm trying "snip/dct_read_write" now.
I understand that in DCT data (likely SSID, passphrase, privacy key, and so on) is stored without being encrypted.
I want store DCT data more secure.
I found "PLATFORM_SECUREDCT_ENABLED".
Can I store DCT data that is encrypted with this define?
If so, please tell me how to do it.

I edit my source files in my own editor and then build the code in WICED Studio (6.2.1). A lot of times the modified files do not get compiled when I run the build configuration. I have not been able to find a pattern where the files are compiled or not. Has anybody else seen this?
Show LessHi,
I would like to call our method to send printf data via wifi when the printf such as WPRINT_APP_INFO/ERROR/DEBUG is executed. Firstly, I tried to used wiced_log_init in reference to Logs ,a simple introduce in Wiced release . However, I cannot get have good result. This method is seemed not to support to switch WPRINT_APP_INFO to log output. Is there other solution?

Show LessHello All,
I'm just about to start the porting process for a custom board that is using the STM32F769 mcu and the Murata's
LBEE5KL1DX-883 module ( Cypress CYW4343W ).
Does anyone know if a port for this configuration already exists? Also is there any recommended documentations or hints?
Thank you,
Ken
Show LessDear community,
I'm looking for a setup including both hardware (wifi adaptor, dev board) and software (drivers, API) compatible with the WiFi Neighbor Awareness Networking (aka WiFi aware) technology. Do you know if such a setup is available?
I search in datasheets but did not find any information.
Thank you
Show LessHi,
When sending HTTP packets, the server connection works fine for a while and then I start seeing socket closed error (7014). It doesn't recover from this error. I am using the http_client connect and disconnect api (with TLS). Any inputs on how to gracefully recover from this condition? I can deinit the http client which deletes the socket
Show LessHi,
We are working on BCM4343W based WiFi Murata module with ARM Cortex M4 based platform (interfaced through SDIO) and uses ThreadX/NetX. The WICED SDK version we are using is 3.5.2
wwd thread priority is set to highest which is 0 (in case of ThreadX). When we change this priority i.e. set to lower priority e.g 5 then driver is failing.
Is it expected to work with other thread priorities?
On Similar base, we also have BCM43362 (Murata SN8000ufl) module with ARM Cortex M4 based platform (interfaced through SPI) and uses ThreadX/NetX
When we change wwd thread priority for BCM43362 (i.e. ThreadX priority 0, 5, 20), it works fine.
So we expect it should also work for BCM4343W.
Please suggest why it is failing for BCM4343W.
Thanks & Regards,
Pratik.
Show LessHi,
i have seen Git examples referenced on the CY8CPROTO-062-4343W (PSoC6 WiFi + BT Prototyping Kit).
But i noticed that when i set the <Device mpn="CY8C624ABZI-D44"/> in my design.modus, which to the best of my knowledge corresponds to the above mentioned prototyping kit, i don't get the BLE component offered.
My main question is, it ok to set up a project for PSoC6 Wi-Fi + BT Pioneer Kit and then flash it on the PSoC6 Prototyping Kit?
What are their main differences?
Another similar question is for WICED Studio and WiFi example?.
I could see that a Plattform CY8KIT_062 exist. But the schematic is for the Pioneer Kit. Can we still consider it for the prototyping kit?. What are we expected to do, when using the prototyping kit?
