Show LessHi there,
We are trying to fcc wifi certify our project which uses a custom buildroot toolchain and arm processor.
We need help to compile the wl_tool so we can proceed with certification, but we need it to be cross compiled for our architecture (arm 32bit).
Can I ask a representative to help us to compile it with our custom toolchain?
CPU Info:
- armv7l
- little-endian
- hard-float ABI
- neon/vfpv4
Custom Toolchain Instructions:
- download toolchain
- extract toolchain:
tar jxf arm-co6-linux-uclibcgnueabihf_sdk-buildroot_2021.02.1.tar.xz - cd to arm-co6-linux-uclibcgnueabihf_sdk-buildroot
- ./relocate_sdk.sh
- add toolchain into path e.g.
export PATH="$PATH:$PWD/usr/bin" - Set cross compile variables:
export ARCH=arm
export CROSS_COMPILE=arm-co6-linux-uclibcgnueabihf-

I attached CYW20706 to the embedded linux system by referring to the blog below.
And the bluetooth_6lowpan module was loaded in the host Linux and connected with the ble sensor with the following command.
(The linux kernel version is 3.18.)
insmod 6lowpan.ko
insmod bluetooth_6lowpan.ko
hcitool lescan
echo 35> /sys/kernel/debug/bluetooth/6lowpan_psm
echo "connect 00:DD:F6:FF:20:DD 1"> /sys/kernel/debug/bluetooth/6lowpan_control
However, after about 40 seconds, the connection is disconnected with the following log output.
> HCI Event: Disconnect Complete (0x05) plen 4 [hci0] 52.827451
Status: Success (0x00)
Handle: 64
Reason: LMP Response Timeout / LL Response Timeout (0x22)
What should I check?
Any help will appreciated, thanks in advance.

It always have a lots of errors while building kernel.

Show LessHi ,
I've been working on Nvidia Jetson Platform with :
Kernel: 4.15.0-122-generic
OS : Ubuntu 18.04
I've followed the steps @https://community.cypress.com/community/software-forums/linux/blog/2020/02/04/fmac-debugging
And found the WiFi driver from https://community.cypress.com/docs/DOC-21490 and built it.
When we insert the module using the following command :-
$insmod brcmfmac.ko
without debug level, WiFi interface is not working as expected. Only when the debug level #define BRCMF_FWCON_VAL 0x00100000 is passed along with the insmod command the WiFi interface is working properly.
But it is causing huge dmesg data logged. We have attached the dmesg logs:- https://pastebin.com/H4U9R167
1) Is there a solution to skip DEBUG_LEVEL specification for insmod command above or skip logging to dmesg ?
2) Is there a updated Firmware release which eradicates Debug log printing ?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Ann Rose Antony
Show LessHi Sir,
Thanks,
Leo
Show LessHi Team,
I am trying to bring up Bluetooth in UART using CYW43455 module.
I have done the following steps:
1. Enabled BT_REG_ON to output high.
2. Bluez has been set up in the board.
3. Copied the firmware from cyw-bt-patch/BCM4345C0_003.001.025.0144.0266.1MW.hcd at master · murata-wireless/cyw-bt-patch · GitHub to /etc/firmware folder.
4. I did hciattach and following are the logs.
$ sudo hciattach -t 30 /dev/ttyTHS1 bcm43xx 3000000 flow
bcm43xx_init
Set Controller UART speed to 3000000 bit/s
Flash firmware /etc/firmware/BCM4345C0_003.001.025.0144.0266.1MW.hcd
Set Controller UART speed to 3000000 bit/s
Device setup complete
5. Then I tried pairing with bluetoothctl and got the following logs:
$ sudo bluetoothctl

Show LessApologies if this is answered elsewhere, but I haven't found it yet after a fair amount of digging.
Do any of the Cypress 11ac combo parts support mbss (multiple BSS/SSID), and if so, where could we find the firmware versions that support that? There doesn't seem to be a list.
Thanks
Show LessHi,
we have a custom embedded system based on freescale vybrid vf6xx SOC.
-run kernel 4.3.0
-looking to replace wifi chip with murata mw1, that uses cypress 43355 chip.
-bt part is working fine.
-updated/patched the "/drivers/net/wireless/brcm80211/brcmfmac" driver to:
-download fw and related files.
-create wlan0 interface. OK

TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)
-trying to bring up the interface wlan0 will fail:
-brcmf_netdev_open() fails when calls

Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated.
