I use the reference design on the official website to design my schematic.

After PCBA came back, it burned the software on the official website to flash and found that the board could not work normally.

I opened the. Bit file in software "sx3_hdmi_4K_capture_card.zip" and found that the ecp5 25F series of lattice was used, but the schematic diagram and BOM were written in 12F series. I replaced the 12F on the board with a 25F FPGA, and the board still doesn't work properly.I want to confirm whether the reference schematic diagram on the official website corresponds to the software. Can you give me a software version of cyusb3017 + 12F or cyusb3017 + 25F of "SX3 HDMI 4K CAPTURE CARD Schematic.pdf" based on the schematic diagram of the official website?

Thank you!

Hello,

I understand that the FPGA used in the custom board is different then the FPGA used in reference schematic. The FPGA .bin file is specific to the FPGA part in the reference schematics.

I replaced the 12F on the board with a 25F FPGA, and the board still doesn't work properly

>> I didn't understand this. LFE5U-12F-8BG381C is used in the schematics. Please let me know which schematics did you refer. Please let me know if the board comes up well in USB boot and if all the steps mentioned in the KBA are followed. If yes, kindly let me know what doesn't work.

Also, if the programming is successful the device will come up with debug COM port. This can be used capture the debug prints for checking the reason failure. Please share the debug prints

If you are using a different FPGA, you can create custom for .bin and using the SX3 configuration utility https://www.cypress.com/file/520076/download new configuration can be created for the custom board.

You can also refer to https://www.cypress.com/documentation/application-notes/an231295-getting-started-ez-usb-sx3

Please let us know if any queries on this

Regards,
Rashi

The schematic reference design on the website uses 12F, but the. Bit file in the Configuration File on the website uses 25F. This is the problem.

I refer to the schematic design on the designer's website.

https://community.infineon.com/t5/Knowledge-Base-Articles/EZ-USB-SX3-HDMI-4K-Capture-Card-Solution-D...

But in order to verify theConfiguration File on the website, I changed 12F to 25F. Measure the serial port with an oscilloscope, and the serial port does not print information.

The reference schematic design and the configuration file used are as follows:

Hello,

I understand.

Can you please help me to know how did you find that the .bit file in the configuration folder is not related to the 12F FPGA?

Measure the serial port with an oscilloscope, and the serial port does not print information.

>> I understand that device comes up as COM port on the USB host after programming is successful and on opening app like Teraterm no prints are seen. Is my understanding correct?
