the cyfx3s_msc firmware on a SFXS board supports cards of 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 32GB in size; but doesn't support 4GB or 16GB.
Why ? I also have found no answer in the firmware itself. Any clue ?

Hello,
There is no restrictions on 4GB and 16 GB SD cards.
Please let me know, which SD card is used?

Hi:
I did try SD cards of different vendors, i.e., Transcend, of 4-8-16GB. The cards work as expected when plugged
in another card reader. When I use the cyfx3s_msc firmware (on ztex 2.14 board) for these cards I get:
dmesg:
[ +0.001253] usb-storage 1-1:1.0: USB Mass Storage device detected
[ +0.000184] scsi host119: usb-storage 1-1:1.0
[ +1.002568] scsi 119:0:0:0: Direct-Access Cypress FX3S MSC DEMO 0001 PQ: 0 ANSI: 6
[ +0.000823] sd 119:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg1 type 0
[ +0.008292] sd 119:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI removable disk
lsscsi -s:
[119:0:0:0] disk Cypress FX3S MSC DEMO 0001 /dev/sdb -
As you can see the messages don't contain the size of the cards. On MS Windows
the behaviour is the same. Please notice that cards of smaller or bigger size (the same vendors)
work just fine with this board/firmware.
Best regards,
Ivan
