USB low-full-high speed peripherals Forum Discussions
Hello,
We are using the cygpio.exe script with the CY7C65215-32LTX on our boards.
Recently we have a new batch of boards and this command is failed to configure the gpio (see attached picture ''Cygpio_failed.PNG'), we compare on the same PC two boards one with old batch of devices (command succeeded) and one board with new batch (command failed).
We also tried manually using the ''USB serial configuration utility'' to configure the same gpio on both batch the gpio is working as expected.
We compare the version of both devices and its identical (see picture ''Cypress_device_configuration.png'').
The only difference we can see is the marking on the devices:
Old batch marking:
CY7C652
1532LTXI
2025 PHI
622477 C
103
New batch marking:
CY7C652
1532LTXI
2025 PHI
622477 C
311
Can you please advice what the last line at the marking refereeing to?
Can you please advice what can be the root cause for this behavior of the new batch of devices? do you have a solution?
Thank you
Best regards
Efi
Show LessHello. I use cy7c68013a Mini Board.
I'm able to write any firmware for USB. And I have one trouble.
1) RAM UPLOAD(*.hex):
When I upload my firmware without EEPROM (hex. Directly to RAM through Cy Control utility), my device reconnects with new VID/PID and endpoint settings. Device works fine. It's OK.
2)EEPROM UPLOAD(*.i2c):
Then I convert hex to i2c, and load i2c file to EEPROM. I'm awaits that now my device will be recognized without any troubles (as it worked with RAM in step 1).. But nothing happens. No Windows sound alert about new connection.
Main loop (thank to LEDs) is alive. But enumerates is failed. What is it??
What the reason of it?? I want that my device will enumerate as ordinary USB device.
Thanks.
Show LessDear,
Is there an example somewhere on how to read and set the GPIO of this chip over USB?
Kind regards
Hello,
Do you have a driver of EZ-USB FX2 for Windows10?
I have used EZ-USB FX2 (CY7C68013-128QFP)for Windows7.
This time, I would like to change the host PC from Window7 to Windows10.
(VID: 0x0547, PID: 0x1002)
These VID and PID don't seem to be included in the default cyusb3.inf
installed with the EZ-USB FX3 SDK.
Best Regards,
Nishinaga.

Hi.
Now I'm trying to implement UART communication with "CY7C68013-CSP" of EV-ADF4159EB1Z Evaluation board
But I'm not sure whether I can implement UART communication in CY7C68013-CSP.
and Would you please let me know how to get the CY7C68013-CSP specification ? I can't find it anywhere.
Show LessHello,
i have a fx2lp/CY7C68013A having custom PID in eeprom for C0 softload of firmware.
On Linux:
when plug into USB, a DVB driver detects the VID/PID and downloads a firmware, then resets the fx2 cpu.
the fx2 software then does not do a DISCON cycle, instead just sets RENUM to 1 to make new descriptors available.
However, i still see the standard default descriptors doing:
lsusb -v -d VID:PID to display the descriptors.
I should mention that the VID/PID before and after softload are the same/do not change.
The DVB software cant access the new EP2IN bulk endpoint to fetch the mpeg stream.
(the default descr has no bulk EP2IN!)
so strange, any clues?

Hi,
I am using FX2LP Cy7c68013a-128 usb controller.
There are examples provided in Getting Started application notes for GPIF Single word transactions.
I would like to know if there is any example or knowledge base article explaining implantation of GPIF Double word transactions.
My requirement is to read/write 32bit register value from FPGA attached to Cy7c68013a-128 chip through GPIF interface.
GPIF interface data Bus width is 16bits.
Thanks,

Hello
I ran an radiated RF emission test, and got a 216MHz noise from the CY7C68014A. The crystal frequency is 24MHz and the PLL microcontroller can increase the clock frequency up to 480MHz. How can I overcome this noise?
Show LessHey to all,
I have a problem with my RS485 TX EN signal. The TX_EN Signal does not have a fixed length.
That means after the message the signal does not stop right away. I found another user in this forum who had the same issue nearly 2 years ago but the final solution was not in the topic.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
@YatheeshD_36 was the one who helped in the other topic.
Thanks in advance,
Shaunie85
