I have a UFP (sink) design that uses the CCG6 (CYPD6125) that connects to a LCD and to a HX3 (USB 2&3) hub. I need to configure the CCG6 to connect in type-c DisplayPort alt mode. When trying to enter the DisplayPort alt mode the board sends a "Responder NAK".

Planning to use CCG3PA for a power-sink (consumer role) only.
The board has no other power-sources nor batteries at the time of an type-c ac/dc being plugged in.
1.)
Can't find anything in the official CCG3PA datasheet that states what VBUS_P_CTRL's default state is.
Since the regulator for the CCG's VDDD rail will be post the 'consumer fet', it would be great with some input if this cold-booting ("dead battery") state is supported.
2.)
Let's assume we would have a local power-source, so that VDDD would already be powered with a 3.3V rail.
Are there more details available on how to handle the fact that VDDD is also an output/regulator coming from the CCG3PA once it sees VBUS. I can see a diode in the block-level schematic in the datasheet but some more details would be great.
Thanks

This should be pin assignment D (2 lane DisplayPort and 2 for USB superspeed). I have the board getting PD power just find but the PD contract stalls before it can enter into the DisplayPort alt mode. I'm pretty sure I don't have the config correct.
For testing I'm connected to the CCG3 development board.

Wanted to use CCG5, 6 or 7 series, but seems almost all CCG-series are 0 stock globally.
Can Infineon please let us know what parts will be stocked again soon.
thanks david
Show LessHi I am planning to use CYPD3171-24LQXQ in my design and this is for QC operation. In the datasheet it is given that it supports QC4.0. Just want to know whether it supports all QC modes with both source and sink capability? Because i am in a confusion after going through the QC related answers in the forrum.
Please let me know
Thanks and Regards

I am implementing a design that follows the CYUSB4357 reference design from the evaluation board. The buck/boost switcher controllers NCP81239MNTXG and NCP81239AMNTXG are in short supply. I was able to get a good quantity of NCP81239MNTXG, but cannot find any of the NCP81239AMNTXG until November. I am considering loading the NCP81239MNTXG in place of the NCP81239AMNTXG, but it will have an I2C address that clashes with the NCP81239MNTXG. If I cut the I2C signals that were going to the NCP81239AMNTXG, what will the hub software do if it can't communicate with that part?

As the title says, VBUS Pch MOSFET does not turn off.
The FET is on even before the USB PD negotiation starts and does not turn off using the sink_fet_off function.
The VBUS_C_CTRL pin appears to be low all the time.
Hi Suppport team,
I am checking replacment product on RTQ2116C-QA, USB Type C DFP with Charging Port Controller and Integrated 36V 3 .5 A Synchronous Buck Converter.
Due to sourcing issue customer got request on alternative solution from their end customer.

The SDK document doesn't mention about UVP / SCP supported , Why does SDK can't support UVP / SCP ,
and how to eanble UVP and SCP ?
Show LessDear community member,
Hi,
I installed the zip file of the CYPD2134-24LQXI_PA_NCP81239.
I opened the two project file by PSoC Creator3.3.
This workspace has the two project file cc_boot_pa and CYPD2134-24LQXI_PA_NCP82139.
I programed the two project file using the MiniProg3 and CYPD2134.
[project file of cc_boot_pa ]
*Remove the type C sink device, VBUS_P_CTRL pin is low(0V).
*Connect the type C sink device, input voltage of the type C sink device become 5V.
[project file of CYPD2134-24LQXI_PA_NCP82139]
*Remove the type C sink device, VBUS_P_CTRL pin is high(5V).
*Connect the type C sink device, input voltage of the type C sink device become 0V.
I want fix the project file CYPD2134-24LQXI_PA_NCP82139.
I up to the two project file.
Could you tell me how to fix the VBUS__CTRL pin become low and
input voltage of the type C sink device become 5V ?
