Hello,

We are currently looking into a design based on the 39W Dual Port Car Charger Reference Design.

This design uses a CCG3PA and a Qorvo ACT5101 DC-DC converter with direct feedback. The firmware for this design can be found here.

In this thread Lisa indicates that CCG3PA direct feedback applications should incorporate an external DC-DC converter that uses a 1.2V VRef. The ACT5101 uses a 2.0V VRef.

We are interested in clarification on recommended VRef voltages for DC-DC converters in CCG3PA direct feedback applications.

Best,

Shea

Hi Shea,

The VRef voltage for CCG3PA is >0.8V. The reason is <=0.8V have a big risk when the design is working on critical conditions.

Best Regards,

Lisa
