The WICED Sense kit uses a Silicon Labs USB to Serial Device.  The TAG3 board uses an FTDI USB to serial device.

Both should be installed as part of the SDK 2.2.1 install process.

if not, the FTDI drivers are in SDK as kwang mentions above.

If you need the Silicon Labs drivers for WICED Sense, there is a link to them here within the WICED Sense Table of Contents

Hi Anastasis,

What board are you using? If you are using the tag 3, check that the switches are in the correct positions, then device manager to see if the FTDI USB->Serial drivers were installed properly.  If not, you may have to reinstall them using this file: /WICED-Smart-SDK/Drivers/dpinst.exe (make sure you access from the command line).

Hello Kevin,

what do you mean?

i am using windows 7 64-bit,

i installed jre 32-bit to run the editor because i had 64-bit jre and it

didn't work.

So i uninstalled 64-bit and installed 32-bit (and it worked).

Know when i connect Wiced sense via usb cable it doesn't recognize it.

In the devise manager it doesn't show ports (com & ltp).

i dont know if i helped

Hi Anastasis,

Try downloading the Silicons Lab driver USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers | Silicon Labs

Once you have installed the drivers, please check to see on device manager if you can see your WICED Sense device. It should say:

Silicon Labs Dual CP210x USB to UART Bridge: Enhanced COM Port (COMx)

Silicon Labs Dual CP210x USB to UART Bridge: Standard COM Port (COMx)
