Bluetooth recognition on iPad/phone

Is anyone else having a problem getting the Smart Sensor to be recognised by either the App or the Finder App?

All mine does is to blink the red LED slowly, but the App shows nothing.

iOS 8. device set up for discovery.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, or not doing somehting I should?

A puzzling update.

I gathered a number of iPhones at work, all using iOS 8, some recognised the Wiced right away others could not be convinced. No luck with any iPad at the moment though.

As these are work provided iPhones, they are all the same model, so puzzled as to why some work and others don't.

Have you upgraded to the latest iOS 7 Update 2?

That may fix your problems.

Thanks, that appeared to be part of the problem, I discovered that some people at work had not been upgraded to iphone 5 as well as some not having had the iOS updated.
