Hi,I will post for the first time.

I am trying to use CY62167EV30LL-45BVXI of the VFBGA package.

There is no BYTE pin in this package.

Why is there no BYTE pin?

thank you.

Hi Saiki,

Byte pin is used to provide the organisation structure ( like 2M X 8 or 1M x 16). In TSOP package a Byte pin is there to provide this info but for CY62167EV30LL-45BVXI of the VFBGA package it can only be used as 1M X 16 part. If you want to use the memory as 2M X 8 organisation in VFBGA package then you have to go with CY62168EV30LL-45BVXI. Please find the datasheet link below

Thanks,

Pradipta.
