Power Management ICs Forum Discussions
Hello experts:
We would like to inquire about the TLE92464 chip. Can we still use the dither function when we are using the Direct Drive mode via DRV pin? Is the dither function only available in Current Control ICC mode?
Looking forward for your reply!!!
Show LessHi,
we are developing an AC three phase induction motor driver with a PFC stage in front. We have basically copied the “EVAL_2.5KW_CCM_4PIN” for PFC stage with minor changes. See the schematics below and also attached pdf file.
We are using a non-isolated gate driver (1EDN7550) and 10mR current sense resistor and 350VDC bus with maximum load of 6A. We have 5 prototypes for beta testing at customer facilities and they all have been working fine until recently. One of them came back yesterday with extensive damages and burning in PFC stage. The 10mR current sense resistor is completely evaporated, D5, D9 and Q3 are all shorted and there is huge sign of arcing between vias of sense resistor and chassis ( chassis is connected to PE and has 7mm distance to the bottom of the board). Also, R110 (Vsens first resistor) is burned. Could you please help me to understand what could have gone wrong and ways to improve the design? Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
Thanks for your attention

Show LessDear Infineon team,
We are designing PFC converter based on Infineon EVAL-PFC5KIKWWR5SYS evaluation board. The inductance value mentioned in application manual L1,L2 53uH. Even as per your spec calculated L is 53uH only. Whereas your BOM it was mentioned 85uH. Please let me know the design consideration for 85uH.

Show LessHi Infineon's friends:
Attached is the schematic diagram of our TLF35584VVS2. The main control chip used in the EPS project is TC334, and the drive control chip is TLE9183QK
I'd like to ask you to help review our schematic below and help see where improvements are needed
Thank you very much

Show LessHello.
I am trying to debug my custom WLC1115 PCB. The issue I am currently dealing with is the PCB will not charge my phone. The PCB is single sided, with the components on top and coil on the bottom. With no object present, my PCB still performs its Q-estimations:
VIN_V = 8984mV
NTC TEMP = 25'C
DIE TEMP = 26'C
Q-Peaks: 16
Q_MEAS: 43
Q-Peaks: 16
Q_MEAS: 43
My guess here is that it is detecting the presence of the PCB. Slightly lifting the coil off the PCB does prevent this from happening. However, when I place my phone on top of the coil, I see these messages:
VIN_V = 8984mV
NTC TEMP = 25'C
DIE TEMP = 31'C
Q-Peaks: 0
Q_MEAS: 48
Q-Peaks: 0
Q_MEAS: 48
Q-Peaks: 0
I can get my phone to charge if I tilt the coil away from the PCB. However, there seems to be communication problems between the WLC1115 and my phone which results the charging to be on and off. Here are some examples of these messages:

RX_Q_FACTOR = 60
Q-Peaks: 0
Q_MEAS: 48 Q_MEAS_MPA1: 64

Show LessHello,
I am trying to use the XDP designer to communicate with the TDA38740, but it says I need a serial number to activate. Can I get help with this?
Also, I notice the TDA38740 does not ramp up to a voltage upon 12PVIN even though the EN signal is high. Is this normal? Do I need to enable it through the GUI?
Thanks,
Caleb
Please can anyone share the datasheet for P/N--IR35215MTRPBF

Show LessHi team, I am having trouble designing 64-watt ballast as I need to design a ballast that can drive 2 32-watt T8 lamps with a preheating time of 2 seconds and running frequency of 45 to 50 kHz but reference circuit provided in the datasheet and App note are for 1 54-watt lamp. to drive the multiple lamps I need the find the inductor or transformers value which are not present in the datasheet or App note.
