Hi All,

I want to replace a TLE6220GP to TLE9104SH.

Like a image i've attached below, there are 3 of pins that does not match each other

(6220GP : VS, PRG, FAULT // 9104SH : EN, VIO, VDD)

1. EN pin : What is it used for? can this pin on/off  all output channel?(1~4)

2.  VIO, VDD pin : is there any ref schematic using TLE9104SH?

3. FAULT pin : This pin does not exist in TLE9104SH, How to replace this pin using TLE9104SH?

Hello gunheelee

Thank you for posting on Infineon Community.

We understand that you want to replace TLE6220GP with TLE9104SH, and require clarification regarding some of the pins.

->1. EN pin: What is it used for? can this pin on/off all output channels? (1~4)

This pin is used to enable/disable the outputs of the driver.
If EN is high, and the register OUT_EN is set, the driver's outputs will be enabled.
If EN is low, or OUT_EN is not set, the driver's outputs will be disabled.

->2. VIO, VDD pin: is there any ref schematic using TLE9104SH?

VIO is the supply of the SPI interface.
VDD is the regular supply of the chip.
We have an evaluation board for TLE9104SH:
https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/evaluation-boards/tle9104sh_dev_board/
On page 7 of the user manual, the schematic of the board is shown.
Please refer to those schematics for clarification of the pin connections.

->3. FAULT pin: This pin does not exist in TLE9104SH, How to replace this pin using TLE9104SH?

The fault reporting is performed via SPI in the case of TLE9104SH.
You can quickly check if any fault has been triggered by using the GLOBAL_STATUS register.
The if the GEN_FAULT bit is set, it means that there is a fault.
You can check which fault has been triggered in each channel by using the DIAG_OUT_1_2_ON, DIAG_OUT_3_4_ON, and DIAG_OFF registers.
Please refer to chapter 6.2.1 of the datasheet for details on the SPI registers.

Bets regards,

Pablo
