PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
In the kit the CY8C28 processor module uses a CY8C28000, however this note in the
datasheet may explain why one cannot select this part from Designer 5.4 catalog and
program it. The part is not in Designer part catalog !
56-Pin Part Pinout
The 56-pin SSOP part is for the CY8C28000 On-Chip Debug (OCD) PSoC device.
NoteThis part is only used for in-circuit debugging. It is NOT available for production.

Show LessA suggestion to Cypress for customers who need IA's -
1) If designer wants to use PGA in a 2 or 3 OpAmp configuration needed
is a spec for PGAx/PGAy gain ratio, as this affects CMR of the IA. Now you have
gain error for PGA, but I would bet that PGA to PGA ratio tracking is much better
than the G error specs.
2) The same would be true for the AC specs, GBW, ratio one PGA to another.
3) PGA bias current specs and drift.
4) For users that want to implement with OpAmps and external precision R array,
specs on bias current and drift and GBW ratio OpAmp to OpAmp. This is crude,
better yet would be pole-zero specs, and ratio OpAmp to OpAmp.

Show LessI would like to do some data logging with USB, so to get started on my first USB project I am trying the USB_UART example, unmodified, with a CYC8KIT-050LP and an up-to-date PSoC Creator 2.2 SP1. Everything seems to work fine, except that no USB_UART.inf file is created (or any other *.inf file). So when I plug in the programmed board, Windows 7 cannot find a driver and I am stuck. The instructions seem to indicate that the USB_UART.inf file is automatically produced. Am I missing something? Any suggestions?
Show LessUsing MATLAB -
Hi, kind of an unusual request. Our company is showing a device at a trade show starting tomorrow (Sunday, June 23) in San Francisco, CA. One of the boards with a PSOC on it needs a code update and our engineer at the show does not have a PSOC programmer with him.
If anyone is in the area, and hopefully sees this, We will happily pay to have a programmer brought to our engineer. That is really all that is needed. If you can help, please text me at 512.589.3443 as it will be the fastest way to get in touch with me.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Show LessHello.
I have yet to successfully bundle a project, then unzip it and run it. Therefore, I cannot backup my projects and have no way to recover on another machine if my computer crashes. I have also been sent example projects from India on cases I have opened and lost many hours just trying to get the projects to load into PSoC Creator Version 2.0 Component Pack 2 Release Date 3/16/2012. PSoC Creator makes the zip file then when I unbundle it and try to load the project PSoC Creator gives me the following error messages in one dialog box after another.
prj.M0184: Project cyprimitives contains components that include special code that runs on your computer. Do you trust the source of this project and wish to use the projects components?
prj.M0184: Project CyComponentLibrary contains components that include special code that runs on your computer. Do you trust the source of this project and wish to use the projects components?
prj.M0184: Project CyComponentLibraryUpdates contains components that include special code that runs on your computer. Do you trust the source of this project and wish to use the projects components?
prj.M0184: Project CyReferenceLibrary contains components that include special code that runs on your computer. Do you trust the source of this project and wish to use the projects components?
prj.M0054: Failure to load the project user data for workspace "Nxt-gen-01". Some user data may have been lost or corrupted. A new user file will be started for you.
A new user file will be created and none of the data contained in the corrupt user file can be recovered. The user data file is not strictly necessary for the workspace.
I click on the cywrk file, PSoC Creator begins and opens the project but gives me all the above messages, so I click OK on each of them. I've also tried finding the file from within PSoC Creator 'Open existing project'.. Loads the project but gives me 138 errors if I try to compile it. There is something fundamentally wrong here.
