I'm just starting with the CY8CKIT-050. I've instatntiated the Character LCD and read the associated Document Number: 001-86319 Rev. **
The datasheet introduces over a dozen API functions that all start with LCD_Char_..., such as LCD_Char_PrintString(). Those functions will not compile, but LCD_PrintString() works fine.
Am I missing an update? If not, perhaps the fine folks at Cypress might revise the datasheet, so that my competitors don't need to waste as much time as I just did. Most other things are working just great. Thanks for an otherwise excellent product!
Show LessI need a direction signal for the QuadDec component. Do I place both the Base QuadDec component AND the QuadDec components, and just use the dir output from the base component (make all other connections with the QuadDec component? Or do I need to place and implement the base component with counters as shown on page 15 in the QuadDec V2.30 datasheet? In other words, I lack a basic understanding of how to use the Base components - instead of the normal component, or along with the normal component - and do I need to duplicate all the input connections, or will those exist from the main component. For example, I have a QuadDec_1 AND a Base QuadDec_1 placed on my schematic. Are they the SAME "instance" of the device, or are they two completely seperate devices internally? I hope I have explained it well enough. Thank you for any help you can offer.

I have been using PSoC since 1.5 years with device model CY8C3865AXI-019, but after installing PSoC creator 2.2 (programmer v1.3) when I want to program the device it identifies the device as CY8C3865AXA-019.
I have found a solution for that select the device CY8C3865AXI-019 as CY8C3865AXA-019 and it will work fine...
I was using another model also CY8C3866AXI-040 ES2 but since I have updated the PSoC creator 2.2 I cannot program it....help Plz.
To program that device I have to run the program in PSoC creator 1 which creates problems in updated components.....
Show LessWhile installing 2.2 sp1 on a win7 machine. I found that it seems to take forever while installing the psocprogrammer. I tried two times and wait for 20-30 minutes and the machine seems not making any progress in the intallation. I noticed that there seems to have to installation wizard running, one is the creator and one is the programmer, I use the task manager to kill the programmer wizard and the installation continue without any problem.
Has anyone got this problem?
I had install 2,2 SP1 onto another win7 machine a short time ago, but didn't have this issue.
Show LessRecently I saw the cool feature of Creator to generate the datasheet of Project with just one click.
One of toughest and most important part of Project development “Documentation” will happen in just one click. This will save a lot of time of developer..
Steps to generate the datasheet:-
1) Open project for which you want to generate the datasheet
2) Click on "Build >> Generate Project Datasheet" option in menu of PSoC Creator as shown in Fig 1
3) It will show the datasheet tab in Creator and this datasheet will have all required information about your project like:-
a. Pins
b. System Settings
c. Clocks
d. Interrupts and DMA
e. Information about components used
f. And many other details

Hi Guys,
I have just got a CY8CKIT-001 and have been trying out Creator.
Does the source editor not have Code Completion?
I must admit I have got so used to this over the years that I don't think I can do without it!
Cheers
Andy
Hi, is there any way to show in a customizer component the list of components of a specific type that are present in the same design? I want something similar to the Bootloader dropdown menu for selecting the component to use for the communication.
