Good afternoon everyone,

I'm creating a capsense module with CY8C20534.

It constructing a board with 4 buttons & 1 slider (with 4 sensors/buttons), the design & pcb's are ready.

what I need is the sample codes for the above stated details.

Since I'm able to program the button section, especially I want the suggestions for the slider section.

In the SW we are developing we want to use the EmFile SW to access the SDCard (so it would be linkned and distributed with our proprietery code). Their license has a open source related term that is not clear to me.

My question is on the "may be". does anyone know what this actually means? Does EMFile includes or not open source components? If yes, which components are these and what is their license? How this impact my proprietery code?

Has anyone being thrgouht that?

Coming from the world of TI, there was a (obscure) place on my C: drive where I could go to explore .c and .h files that my programs typically depended on. This is the place where the IDE goes when you declare include <foo.h>. Where does PSoC Creator look?

This question came about because, going through PSoC Creator 101 lesson 6, the second I stuck CapSense_CheckIsWidgetActive() in main.c, I got the the error message "implicit declaration of function 'CapSense_CheckIsWidgetActive' is invalid in C99". And I an stuck on how to fix it.

I have been trying to configure PLD0 of UDB2 as a 2:4 decoder from the main.c code after instantiating a single LUT with two inputs and 4 outputs and throwing in 4 digitial output pins, 2 digital input pins and connecting them to the LUT with wires in the schematic. I configured the truth table of the LUt in the schematic to give one for all cases. When I built it, I noticed in the .rpt file under results tab, that UDB(3,4) had been configured to acheive this functionality of the LUT described above. After reading the registers TRM for PSoC 5LP, I identified the following registers to configure the logic function of PLD0 of UDB(3,4) - which according to the application note on advanced DMA topics, corresponds to UDB2 :

B0_P1_U0_PLD_IT0 (to take input 0), B0_P1_U0_PLD_IT1(to take input 1), B0_P1_U0_PLD_ORT0(to produce output 0) B0_P1_U0_PLD_ORT1 (to produce output 1), B0_P1_U0_PLD_ORT2 (to produce output 2), B0_P1_U0_PLD_ORT3 (to produce output 3), B0_P1_U0_MC-CFG_BYPASS (to configure macrocells to produce combinational output). 

I guess these are the only registers necessary to configure the logic function of PLD0 as a 2:4 decoder. I used the following code to configure it in main.c:

I connected wires from the output pins to the LEDs on board to see the outputs and also wires from input pins to 5V and GND on the breadboard to change the inputs and see how outputs vary with it. For 1 second,all four LEDs were glowing and then the code I had wirtten configured those registers -this I could verify by the new outputs observed. However, for 2 of the 4 cases I got the right output, while for the other cases it didn't give any output unfortunately. I tried verifying the values I wrote to the registers and they agree very well with the TRMs and documents I have read so far. I haven't configured the MC_CFG_XORFB and MC_CFG_CEN_CONST registers as I didn't feel it was necessary to do so. I don't know if there are any other registers I need to configure.

Does anyone know what registers need to be configured to achieve the output described above? Need urgent help with this as my project is due by next Monday. Your help is deeply appreciated.

I found the following infomation in  "Datapath Configuration Tool Cheat Sheet_001-86838.pdf" page 9 

Compare block 0 can compare only D0 and a masked value from A0.

but when you run the  software: Datapath Configuration Tool,

you can find CFG13-12 CMP SELA has many choice, none of them are A0_D0. I think this is a software bug.

please correct it.

 I just received a couple of the RedPine Wifi Expansion board kits and downloaded the software from RedPine.

The thing I am having trouble with is how to install the Redpine wifi component?

Does this happen automatically when I open an example project or do I need to go to the component folder and load something into creator to place the component into a catalog?

Initially, I want to run the examples and then create my own project that uses the component.

I have followed the Cypress recommendation and installed the compiler from Keil. It builds my project successfully with a more compact code as the ARM GCC 4.7.3, but it generates in my main.c source some strange error messages.

Example 1: uint32_t   A1Tim;    is marked with a red dot and the message: reference to uint32_t is ambiguous,

                                                    #include <stdint.h> is specified

Example 2: CyGlobalIntEnable;  is marked with a yellow triangle and the message:implicit declaration of function is invalid in C99

Must I include special header files in order to avoid these error messages? Or install something else?

Even if the project builds successfully, I don´t like error messages neither red nor yellow.

not sure if this is the right forum place, my question isn't related to a given device, but the development tools, GCC in this case.

So, after working massively with PSoC4 and a bit with PSoC5, I wan't to dig deeper into the GCC tools. I'm coming from the 8051 world, where it was easy to check the generated assembler code if it was blown unnecessarily. Also the map file was relatively detailed regarding memory location of a given variable or checking the overlay mechanism for local function variables.

Now, how can I get this for the Cortex-M0/M3 devices? Regarding the assembler code, it seems that the generated LST files are the right place, right? They're not always easy to read, but I assume this is getting better with experience.

The MAP file makes more headache, it doesn't give me the informations I expected based on my experience with 8051 map files... So, the question is: is this related to the different memory architecture or is there simply a linker switch which outputs more details? For example, the 8051 map file showed up the memory type (which doesn't exists on a Cortex-Mx device due to the linear address space), the address, etc., but I can't find those informations for local function variables, only for globals - is this because global variables are created on the HEAP, which is dynamic?

And the third question: let's say I wan't to create an assembler only project to get knowledge of the instruction set, how can I create such a project?
