Not a big issue, but I find myself wanting to look at component catalog

w/o opening a project. I would like to do it with Creator open, no project

open.

Or better yet, a separate program install as a program in Creator directory.

Regards, Dana.

 Danaknight,

Without opening the project, you can view the component catalog. To do this go to view--> component catalog.

Thanks,

Did you really try??? In my Creator 2.1 the window appears but is empty. Probably due to the fact that some components are related to special chips (aPSoC3 doesn't have got an SAR).

Yes that views component catalog. What I am referring to is the device selector

table, where different P/N's are shown, and their key characteristics, like

memory sizes, package, voltage.......

Add one more item to the view, 1K unit price.

 Dana,

I agree that we may have this option enabled without opening the project or an alterantive of having a table in a seperate file under creator root directory. The time being solution is to take a snap shot of the catalog and store 😉

You might use for PSoC3 http://www.cypress.com/?id=2232&source=header&pagenum=all#parametric and a similar one for PSoC5. Has got everything you may want. Put a shortcut on your desktop or taskbar.

The web is not always available to me, in fact I regularly work in a remote location where

wireless link is > 1 mile away. Lots of xmission errors, latency. I suspect I am not the

only one WW with these problems. So for example I miss hitting the documentation

button in Creator, vs Designer, and asking for a datasheet only to find myself on web

with a link, vs actual PDF.

Fine point to discuss, but local docs I like. And their revisions could easily be handled by

update manager, my guess it does not take a Google server farm to handle the page

load of PSOC. And I do like current docs. And their trails. The information age is upon us.

Regards, Dana.
