Hi,
I got the following message when starting the PSoC Creator:
Error: fmk.M0018: An important piece of PSoC Creator has a problem and may not work correctly. Please restart PSoC Creator.
I haven't used it for a while, dealig with other stuff. Meanwhile I updated PSoC Programmer only (I think) with the last update few days ago. Today I tryed to start the Creator and htere is the result. I havent tryed anything yet - whether is working or not, because when last time I updated something I chased ghost in my software for two days, before realising that it's not me, but the software itself, that is causing the issue.
Does anyone knows something about it - I do not want to spend another day in chasing bugs, that do not exist.
Thanks,
Stoyan

This General PSoC Programming web page is the central location that details all aspects of programming related to all available PSoC devices. All the software, hardware, documentation, and 3rd party vendor relationships are listed here.
Show LessI got a PSoC 3 Starter Kit last week and have done all the example projects without any problem. Today I started a new project, when I Build the main.c file it completes the operation, Build Succeeded, but when I program (Ctrl+F5) I get a Select Debug Target, Window. This is what is listed PSoC3 CY8C3866AX*-040
Available for use Unacquired.
I went to the Project > Device Selector and my CY8C3866AXI-040 is listed. When I return to Program I get the same message and no Programming occurs. Everything else seems fin. Am I missing something obvious? I can't see anything different from the examples given in the PSoC 3 First Touch Starter Kit.
Show LessHi All!
Cypress Applications Engineering team will host live, instructor-led, weekly webinars on different PSoC topics! These webinars are free to all !
We will initially host them at 9:00am (Pacific Time) on Thursdays. We will add additional time slots to support different parts of the world.
All webinars will be hosted via WebEx. You can access the webinar from this link. In case anyone has problems with the link, they can always access the meeting by going to http://cypress.webex.com and entering meeting number 498 741 435.
Various topics such as PSoC3 & PSoC5 bootloader system, Low power modes, etc have been covered. There is plenty more to come!
Avail this excellent opportunity. Feel free to post any topic related to PSoC3 & PSoC5 which you think requires a webinar.
Show LessCypress just launchd our new design partner program. More details on the program are available at http://www.cypress.com/go/designpartner.
The Cypress Design Partner Program is an expansion of our engineering capabilities providing customers with access to design services and solutions from trusted and capable partners.
You can email us what you want to design with PSoC, and we can even recommend design partners for you! Please address your emails to designpartners@cypress.com
Show LessHi All,
(I have also posted this over at PSoCDeveloper.com, so please forgive me for the duplication!)
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has successfully implemented an embedded PSoC 3 or PSoC 5 device into a production build.
The reason is that I am about to move my design from BETA to Production. During Beta I have been using PSoC3 and PSoC5 FTK modules plugged into a header on my board.
For production I would like to get rid of the FTK module and embed the PSoC5 chip directly into my design.
Specifically I would like to hear about any issues surrounding implementing SWD - which SWD/RESET pins did you bring out, what type of header, and which programmer do you use for debug and programming? Can you still program and debug your device from within PSoC Creator? Did you embed a USB programmer into your design?
Should I just bring out the PSoC SWD pins to a header; or just embed the FX2LP USB chip? If so then presumably the FX2 will need some firmware inside it also, how do I program that?
I am grateful for advice from anyone who has done this already.
Using First Touch board with 5V on Vddio0 and Vddio2, ports seem to suddenly break or get stuck high. Happens after hours of running fine, happened to two boards. On first board both Vddio0 and 2 related ports was stuck, second board only Vddio2 ports stuck so far. Core and 3V ports running fine. Anyone seen this? Anything I can do to "heal" the boards? Quick reply much appreciated!
Thanks, T
Show LessHello! I am new in PsoC and i have following problem:
A SPI - Slave receives 4 16-bit values and triggers an FIFO-Full interrupt. This interrupt triggers a DMA , which reads out the data out of the FIFO using following sourceadress: SPIS_RXDATA_PTR.
The DMA has 4 Bytes per Burst, length 2000 and request per burst = 1;
This works, the first 4 values gets saved correctly in a buffer-array, but the problem is, that the FIFO-Full interrupt stays high and doesn't return to zero! A new transmission is not possible anymore.
I have tried reading the data out of the SPI-Slave using SPIS_ReadRxData(). In this case the FIFO-Full interrupt returns to zero.
Do i miss anything? How is it possible to let the FIFO-Full interrupt return to zero after reading out 4 values by the dma?
Thanks a lot!
