As consumer adoption rates for 3D display technologies increase, manufacturers of 3D active shutter glasses face the continual challenge of developing high quality glasses at costs consumers are willing to accept. Reducing the physical size, developing true universal operation, and lowering power consumption have also become critical considerations for manufacturers vying for a piece of this market. This article will examine the current 3D active shutter architectures employed today and contrast those with the next generation solutions now available. Continuing reading this article on EE Times.
Show LessHi,
I was curious as to how the -3 dB Frequency was calculated for the transimpedance amplifier. The Data sheet says that this is calculated based on
f -3dB = 1/ (2*pi* Rfb* Cfb)
Which is not actually the case for the autocalculated value in the TIA configuration menu.
for example, with:
Rfb = 20k
Cfb = 4.6 pF,
the cutoff frequency should be about 1 729 945.03 Hz ? but the autocalculated value is 866 kHz...
perhaps someone can shed some light on this?
Thanks!
Show LessI am trying to set up the Del Sig ADC for a straight forward DC reading on the PSoC 5. I am connecting a single ended input with a range of Vssa to Vdda and a rail to rail buffer. I am transmitting the ADC value over UART to hyperlink. After programming the device I am connecting the ADC input pin to ground to see if I get a reading of zero. However, I get a reading that keeps alternating between 0 and 255. When using a SAR ADC on the same device I dont face the same problem.
I am wondering at this point if the ADC is generating a negative value in 2's complement format. However, I need confirmation that his is the case. If that is the case is there a way to make the Del Sig ADC always floor to zero instead of using negative values?
Show LessDoes anyone has experience with ADC->FILTER withing rtx51tiny
It looks, that however example Projects for Rtx51tiny work well, but all other fail.
ADC reads fixed value 0x90DB regardless of input.
FIlter don't fire data ready interrupt

Show LessThis paper presents PSoC design aspects that enable users of PSoC devices to implement low power systems. It explains PSoC power modes and maps the power modes to design elements. It touches upon the UPF (Unified Power Format) that enables designers to concisely capture the system power architecture. The main focus of this paper is on low power concepts that relate to shutting down power to blocks in a chip. These general techniques are applicable to any SoC (System on Chip) and not necessarily to a PSoC. Read the full article here.
Show LessHello everyone
Do you have examples of decaying sounds (e.g. bells, gong, music boxes carillon etc) synthesis with PSOC 1 ?
Thanks in advance

Show LessI've received message:
*** WARNING L15: MULTIPLE CALL TO FUNCTION
NAME: _CYHALT/CYLIB
CALLER1: COMTASK/COMTASK
CALLER2: INIT/MAIN
I've created .cyre file and entered CyHalt
However compiler still reports warning.
Other functions, doing the same solved the problem smoothly
Any suggestion what to do with it.

Show LessHello,
Since there is no clock input on the the RTC component, can I possibly use a 1pps input on a digital pin as the source for the RTC interrupt?
Somehow I clicked on the RTC ISR in the Interrupts tab of the design wide resources and it brought up RTC_v1_6.cysch. If I modify this, will I break all further RTC designs (since it seems to be in the component library)
Alternately, is there a way of providing an external 32.768 kHz external clock this resource can use?
Thanks
Show LessHi There,
I am pretty new to PSOC and am in the late stages of API development for a new product.
I have the API working very well on the PSOC development kit. The firmware and circuit board design was implemented by a third party company. The RTC was not part of their implementation, I have added it in after the initial design was done.
When I use the device selector to switch from the AXI-040 to the LTI-068 and I enable the XRES pin I just seem to hang the board once it enters the clock firmware.
Is it possible to run RTC on the LTI-068 and if so what am I doing wrong.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Kieran
