PSoC™ 5, 3 & 1 Forum Discussions
hello everyone!
I have some problems when I try to implement a project with amplifiers. the PSoC is CY8C29466, the input is a dc voltage from 0 to 15mv from a sensor, I want to achieve an output in the range 0 to 5V.
I selected a 3 op-amps and set the gain. however when I want to add a PGA after the INSAMP I find it seems impossible, can anybody tell me how to do that? btw, if i use a 2 op-amps it's possible...
the second problem is about the AGND, as is showed in the data sheet, the AGND is Vdd/2, and also can be set by the parameter ref mux in the global resource. since my interest signal is alwasy positive, so I tried to set Vss as reference voltage for 2 op-amp INSAMP and PGA, but the noise is quite big and I even can't observe the output signal...what's more, this method is impossible for 3 op-amp INSAMP. so I want to know may I set the "ref mux" p2[4]+/-p2[6] then connect p24 to GND and p26 to VSS?
thank you for your help!
We have release two new design guides on PowerPSoC hardware and firmware. These respective guides provide all the information you need to know about the FW and HW in one document each.
PowerPSoC Hardware Design Guidelines
http://www.cypress.com/?rID=35361
This document addresses the follow four key issues in any power conversion system design: thermal, layout, transient handling, and ESD. By gaining familiarity with these issues and employing suggested techniques and guidelines in these chapters, the designers will certainly improve the integrity of their designs and likelihood of first pass success.
PowerPSoC Firmware Design Guidelines
http://www.cypress.com/?rID=35365
This design guide describes a step by step process to build an HB LED driver using PowerPSoC. It is followed by sections on lighting control interfaces that describes the implementation of DMX512 and DALI protocols in PowerPSoC.
Hope you enjoy reading these documents.
Show LessHi to all,
I am doing work on blood glucose measurement with PSoC 3 , in that a current from test strip taken and converted to voltage and calibration if that interms of glucose.but as a sample i am giving current from IDAC component that is converted to voltage. this voltage i am giving to ADC to display it in volts , here upto PGA i am getting voltage but after giving to ADC i am getting Garbage value output on LCD.i think the problem here is with ADC ,can anyone help me regarding this.
thanks

Show LessCapacitive sensors(like Humidity sensor) can be interfaced with PSoC and capacitance of sensor can be measured using various methods namely
1. Configuring analog block as relaxation oscillator
2. Using the Capsense architecture itself which saves extra analog block and pins used in relaxation oscillator scheme.
So if you are using Capsense in your design u can also add capacitive sensors just as buttons.
Show Lesshello,
When ibuild my project in PSoC 5 I am facing Two ERROR
1) ""arm-none-eabi-gcc.exe"" failed with exit code '1',
2) few arguments to function "ADC_IsEndConversion"
I am Sending a pic related to this error
Please help me out of this.

Hello!
I have a simple question. Is it possible with a PSoC 5 First Touch into sleep mode to come? My PSoC 5 will not go into the ILO 1 kHz clock mode.In sleep mode, my board has a current of I = 40mA. What's the problem?
Can you help me with this problem?
Show LessHi,
I am doing a project where data comes from I2C bus.I want to store this data using DMA in PSoC3 (Master). Do you have any project or article regarding this.
There are interrupt terminals for SPI and UART, but not for I2C..:(

Show LessThere is an I2C bootloader App note to bootload PSoC3 from PSoC5(acting as host) . Can the same project be used to port to PSoC3- can one PSoC3 act as host to other?
And one more thing can I bootload PSoC5 from PSoC3. Currently I am unable to. Any solutions or suggestions?
