on the longevity webpage (www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/microcontroller/product-longevity/) we have the following: 

The product CY8C29666-24LTXIT has a longevity of 15 years (marked yes). It was launched in 2004 and will be available until 2025. What means longevity 15 years starting from what date? 

The CY8C29666-24LTXIT is a Legacy Microcontroller M8C, PSoC1. I guess the 15 years means that the produce will last 15 years onwards form the time it was introduced. It this interpretation correct? 

 After running  such a simple script (no programming!):

my CY8CKIT dies!

I have a simple app which echoes characters through KitProg's UART connection. After running this script the target stops responding and after a while starts dumping random characters in random sequences. Resetting has no effect! The only option at this point is to reconnect the board (so power cycle), after which the app initializes properly.

CY8CKIT-059 has rather simple detachable KitProg with limited capabilities, so 'PowerOff' & 'PowerOn' have no effects. Also, that 'SetAutoReset' seems giving no differences.

I obviously need it for programming from CLI, but always get same effect, so I finally reduced it just to this Acquire cycle.

But when I use PSoC Programmer, everything works right after programming! So, what's PSoC Programmer doing, that I'm not doing in my script? Or is it some PPCLI limitation/bug?

PPCLI reports "KitProg Version 2.21".

Dear All,

I am using an ADC SAR with the A_Mux. Out of the microcontroller I have an Op-Amp which is connected to the Analog input pin. Due to the Low pass filter I need to calculate cut off frequency which can be affected by the sampling cap of ADC SAR (R40 and C26). It is necessary to know how much cap inside of ADC_SAR and the current limitation do it has on Analog input?!

I could not find what is the value of Cap inside of ADC SAR unfortunately. It is not mentioned in the Datasheet. I will be thankful if any body can help me in this case?

Hi All,

I need to be able to program a hex file to the PSoC5LP on my board over the SWD debugger port. 

1. Does anyone know if the Cypress Programmer supports the PSoC5LP family? 

2. If not, is there a tool that can do this?  I need to provide my Production team a means of programming a hex file without requiring a full project with source code.

Try to use my SWD programmer, that is working for ARM processors, for a CY8C3244 (PSoC_3).

I use XRES followed by >68usec CLK, followed by Sending the Port Acquire key.

But I never get a valid ACK (3b'001) , only 3b'111.

Some users would like to get a historical version of PSoC Creator for some specific silicon(s), for example PSoC3 ES2.
