I have just bought a CY8CKIT-044 PSoC 4 M-Series Pioneer Kit, because I wanted a board for a quick evaluation of a few Arduino shields. Currently I am trying to work with a DC motor driver made by STM, X-NUCLEO-IHM12A1, basically it contains two full-bridges for driving DC motors.

The trouble is, pins P5.5 and P5.3 from PSoC are connected via the Arduino shield to the motor's drivers phase inputs for bridge A (and B). If I place the pins into the schematics and configure as output pins (strong drive or pull up/down), I get the following error during the build (for both of these pins):

fit.M0006:Pin Error: (Function __ONE__.q cannot be reached from this pin).

fit.M0056:Error in fixed placement for Pin_PHA(0): Function __ONE__.q cannot be reached from this pin

Is there a limitation of usage for these pins? When I click on the errors, I can remap the pins in the Design Wide Resources > Pins, however, because of the fixed position of the Arduino connectors, I would prefer a way to use the P5.5 and P5.3 pins.

I'm learning about power saving using the PSoC 4. For this I am running the advertisement project from AN92584 on a BLE Pioneer Kit (CY8KIT-042-BLE-A). I am measuring current consumption on J15 on the main board with a Fluke 87 multimeter, board powered from USB.

What I am observing is that everything is as expected when I select 3.3V power using jumper J16 (default setting), in this case I measure a current consumption of only 1.5uA in deep sleep. Just as specified, perfect.

When I move the jumper to the 5V position though, my deep sleep consumption increases to over 106uA. I tried various things, like:
- changing the VDDA/D/R voltages to 5V in PSoC Creator 4.1 on the System page
- trying with cold/warm resets
- changing DEEPSLEEP_ONLY in code to 1 to rule out any software-induced effects

... but with no luck.

As far as I can tell, feeding the accompanying PSoC4 daughter board with 5V is perfectly valid and within specifications. I do expect a somewhat higher consumption on a higher voltage rail, but 100x higher current within voltage specifications seems very abnormal to me.

Any ideas? Is this normal? Is there some additional (software or jumper) setting I need to make? Or is my kit defective?

UDB Timer connected to HFCLK directly, an external CLK (TCXO 32MHz) used.

When compile it always get this warning.

Warning: sta.M0019: MainBoard_timing.html: Warning-1366: Setup time violation found in a path from clock ( CyHFCLK ) to clock .

And here is the attached html generated by the compiler.

So my question is :

#1. what is the problem of this? it said setup time, I am not quite understand this.

#2. As the timer is sensitive to the accuracy and precision, so any performance impact?

I've got a Sequencing SAR ADC (ADC_SAR_Seq_1) in my project and I want to read 2 channels, Vbatt and a mic level input.  The mic level needs to be read 250 SPS and Vbatt maybe 2 SPS.  This is a super low-power project so any chance to save power will need to be taken.  I do have a timer interrupt system set up that is called 250 times per second that I could use to trigger a conversion.

At first I thought I'd make my ADC Free Running and live with the fact that the Vbatt input would be way oversampled but the minimum clock frequency of 1000 kHz gives a SPS of 1557 so I gave up on that and set it to Hardware trigger.  Reading the DS, I can see that I can start a sample by ADC_StartConvert() but it's not clear how I select which channel to convert as there doesn't seem to be an ADC_SelectChannel() command.

Have I missed something in that I may still be able to free run at 250 SPS?  If not, how can I select which channel gets converted?  What's the best way to save power between conversions?

I have a project that says in the "Clocks" section of the Design Wide Resources that my WCO is 32.000 kHz. However, I know that it is 32.768 kHz (I'm using CYBLE-014008-00). I don't know how it got changed, but the only way that I've been able to change it back to 32768 was by overwriting the XML code of the .cydwr file.

Before:

        <Data key="desired_freq" value="32" />
        <Data key="desired_unit" value="3" />

After:

        <Data key="desired_freq" value="32768" />
        <Data key="desired_unit" value="0" /> 

Is this method allowed? Will I break something by doing so?

i want to make some changes in Cm0start.c file.In that i want to write assembly instruction for push and pop program counter and stack pointer  i use asm("push {r15}") but its shows error "invalid register list to push/pop instruction ".how to access general purpose register in c source file?

Is there any way to trigger an event on the client when the client sends an advertising packet?  My application is sending out packets every 50ms for multiple peripherals to synchronize to, but I want the client to also synchronize to this 50ms signal.

I've tried starting timer for 50ms when the ADVERTISEMENT_START_STOP event triggers, but it ends up being out of sync.

Any ideas?

I've found the Global Signal block and dropped it into top. I can't move past this point. I'm getting two errors just from moving the block into top. 

Clock Error: (WDT interrupt generated by PSoC Creator will be overwritten by the 'isr_2' ISR handler of the 'GlobalSignal_1' component and the user will not be able to attach his functions to the individual WDT interrupts using callbacks. Either remove the component or change the interrupt generation option to 'Implementation by user').

and 

The fitter aborted due to errors, please address all errors and rebuild.

I referenced [this](http://www.cypress.com/file/193966/download) example. It's Psoc, but I assumed it would give me a decent idea of how to use the api.

What can I do to get this working?

We were using HC-05 in our product to communicate over BT. Now as part of enhancement, we want to use CYBLE-012011-00 (CE Certified) module instead of HC-05. 

With respect to this, I have some questions....

1. Cypress supports CYSPP mode which is similar to SPP mode used in HC-05 (reference : http://www.cypress.com/documentation/software-and-drivers/ez-serial-ez-ble-module-firmware-platform)

2. Just read EZ-Serial BLE Firmware Platform User Guide (at http://www.cypress.com/file/285326/download)

3. Downloaded CYBLE-01201X-X0 EZ-Serial Firmware Image (.hex)_0.zip from the link http://www.cypress.com/documentation/software-and-drivers/ez-serial-ez-ble-module-firmware-platform

4. I assume this will suit to CYBLE-012011-00 (CE Certified) module right?

5. Once I flash this .hex file, (I have the development kit for CYBLE-01201xx). How do I test if it works as expected?

6. I read about configuration - but not very clear in the user guide. Just for my reference can you let me know how to configure the name and baud rate? (rest I can figure out later).

7. Does CYBLE-012011-00 module has any non-volatile memory so that the name and baud-rate is retained between the power cycles?

8. Is there any typical connection I need to do for making CYBLE-012011-00 to act as HC-05? I mean - which pin out of 31 pins, I should pullup/ pulldown to enter into configuration mode? Also Pin 21 and 22 (SCB0 RX and SCB0 TX) are to be used for serial port RX, TX right? Is there any thing I need to do with other pin (except making the Gnd to 0, VDDR and VDD to 3.3V, connecting Reset appropriate etc.)? Also is there any way I can use other GPIO's with AT (or configuration) mode?
