Hello,
I have a question about sensor trace of PSoC4000S CapSense.
We can find the width of the sensor trace(7mil) and the air gap between the sensor trace and the ground(10mil - 20mil).
Do we also need to take the air gap of 10mil - 20mil between the sensor traces?
Or is it enough to be about 7mil, which is the same as the sensor trace?
Best regards,
Yocchi

Connection went well.
Pairing is a success. Device was added to whitelist.
But on disconnection and connection (works) but pairing (fails) I get this:
[11:08:46:649] : 'Authentication Error Notification' event received

Does not happen when I do the same process using an android,
Show LessHello,
I set the SWD pins to GPIOs on the System of Design Wide Resources(DWR).
And I set the GPIOs as output.
I would like to continue to change the program as SWD.
Is it possible to program from SWD regardless of whether the GPIOs output are ‘0’ output or ‘1’ output?
Best regards,

Show LessHello,
Where can I find detailed AC characteristics of PSOC 4100 S PLUS I2C serial interface ?
I saw the PSOC 4100S Plus datasheet but only the maximum bit rate is mentioned (spec id 153).

Show LessDear all,
I am using the CY8CKIT-043 and I want to convert an analog signal of 100 Hz to a digital one. Indeed, I am using the ADC_Sar_Seq with one channel. When I am getting the results of the ADC conversion, i observed that the frequency of the ADC's output is always 10 times greater. So, in this case the frequency of the ADC's output is 1 kHz. I tried some other tests, applying sinusoidal waves of 50 Hz and 60 Hz and I got as output 500 and 600 Hz, respectively. Please help me how to fix that, in order to get the same frequency.
I submit you some excel files to understand, what I wrote above. Also, I attached the configuration settings of the ADC
Thank you in advance.
Show LessI was using a CY8C4248QI-BL-483 which is EOL. I am switching to a CY8C4248QI-BL-583.
The basis for our application is the BLE_OTA_FixedStack_Bootloader/BLE_OTA_FixedStack_Bootloadable sample.
For the bootloader portion on the new chip, I rebuilt it using the 583 variant.
PSOC Creator insisted on changing the bootloadable to 583 as well.
I can load the bootloader and the newly built bootloadable with success.
But we have many units in the field that are using the 483 chip.
Is there a way to allow the bootloader to load the bootloadable portion from either build?
Or load the 483 bootloader on the 583 chip?
I can then continue to build the 483 version so that the installed base and the new chip can be updated.

Dear All,
I am using the ADC_SAR_Seq of the C8CKIT-43 and I want to plot in somehow the results of the ADC conversion. Is there any way to do that?
Thank you in advance!
Show LessHi all,
I am trying to optimize the resolution of a capsense board I have that works with a 5 by 8 CSX matrix. It works very well, with dimensions of 2.5mm electrode side length, and 0.5mm gap between each electrode
I plan on turning this into a 6x9 matrix, but I am unsure about where I should cut first:
1. should I keep the electrode size to gap distance ratio the same (i.e. make the electrodes 2mm side length and the gap 0.4mm)
2. Or should I instead reduce mainly the electrode size (i.e. 1.8mm side length with the gap kept at 0.5mm)
3. Or else should I try to optimize the electrode size and reduce the gap between them? (maybe 2.2mm side length with 0.25mm gaps)
If you can explain why one is favorable over the other, it would be perfect!!
I am asking this because I did not find any guidelines in the capsense design guide specifically for these dimensions. Please refer me to any doc if you think of any
Thank you!!

Dear all,
I am new to the CYPRESS microcontrollers. I am using the CY8CKIT-043 and I want to utilize the ADC peripheral. I used the example CE195275 – Sequencing SAR ADC and Die Temperature Sensor with PSoC 4. In my application , I want to measure a current through a current sense amplifier and convert it to a digital signal. My problem relates to the fact that the adc of the example project has a maximum sample rate of 390, while in my application I would like a sample rate of 10000 samples/second. Could you help me, how to achieve that ?
Show Lesshi all
i am using CY8C4045AZI controllers from 1 year , i didn't get any problems. recently i got a problem in some controllers.
those having same problem. after running continuously 6 months they stopped working. i am trying load the firmware into controllers with debugger. debugger went to mass storage programming mode.
can anyone suggest which parameters i have to check and how to resolve the problem.
Regards,
navin.
