PSoC™ 4 Forum Discussions
Hello,
Is there a way to verify, from a Bootloadable set of code, if the security fuse (KILL) has been blown or not? What I am trying to do is prevent firmware from running unless that fuse is set.
Thank you.

Show LessHello,
I have established analog applications and a UART terminal application on my PSoC 5LP kit.
My next step is to establish the same UART tx_rx on a PSoC 4 MCU and establish a handshaking signal between the 2 kits.
For some context, I have a CY8CKIT-042-BLE-A kit with the Pioneer Baseboard as well as the CY8C4248BLQI-BL583 add-on kit.
I have followed the code sequence exactly as in the PSoC 101 UART tutorial, but I am unable to observe the string I am sending on my terminal program (Hercules) at 115200 Baud.
I am a little unsure what the issue is. Is it probably my selection of the debug target? I have selected CY8C4248LQI-BL583 as my target. Considering this is the add-on board, would choosing the Pioneer baseboard (If yes, what is the component part number in PSoC creator?), solve the problem? Also, in the tutorial video, Alan connects two pins externally - [P12.0 to P1.5 & P12.5 to P1.4]. I have made this connection as well, is this correct? Hope I have given sufficient context and hope to resolve this issue asap.
Thanks!
Show LessHello everyone,
I am using CY8C4147AZS-S475 MCU and I want to get haptic when I touch my touchpad. I think I can be done with I2C. How can I write the necessary code in application layer?
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thank you in advance!

I hope I'm not missing something obvious here but I can't get a PSoC 4 to program. The detected device matches the specified device but it still says the hex file does not match the acquired device. See screen shot below.
Any ideas?

Hello everyone,
I want to design touchpad coding and Topdesign. I am the new one on this area. I want to design a thing which has following specifications:
-define a button on touchpad and when I touch this area led should on.
-define a slider on touchpad and when I scroll my finger specified led brightness should increase step by step.
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thank you in advance!

Show LessHello,
I created a default DMC project.
According to the documentation, the resulting hex file should only have one Bootloadable application:
But in the resulting hex file I see 2 metadata sections and two applications:
Moreover, these two applications are slightly different. Why?

Does transparent mode, in the Output section of pin Configuration, affect drive strength or ramp time on PSoC 4?
I.E. Does the addition of syncronization increase the drive strength?
I'm specifically interested in 48-TQFP PSoC 4200L GPIO pins.
I'm seeing a slow fall time on P1.6 in a TQFP-48 pin PSoC 4200L (CY8C4246AZI-L433). The drop time when switching from 3.3V to 0V speeds up when Clock is selected as output mode for the pin instead of Transparent.

Show LessWhich PSoC4 devices have access and allow the use of the IndSense in the "Cypress Component Catalog"?
Are there any example projects and/or development boards that use IndSense?
Thanks

Show LessHello,
I know that the API I'm testing with Cypress has a problem when two calls are sent that are too close (in time) to each other.
I would like to write a flow in Cypress where the same call can be made within X milliseconds and the two results are shown.
I would like to play with interval X to see when the API breaks and whether our fix works.
Could someone let me know if there is a way to do this?
Thanks,
R
