You can adapt the PSoC5 routines to the PSoC4, the C-instructions are the same. You will have to convert DMA to the appropiate data transfers.
Use a Pioneer kit as the PSoC4 target, it allows debugging which is not supported by the Prototype board.

Probably you should tell a little bit more about your problem. What display are you using after all?
Did you look at the PSoC4 introductions - there are some good tutorials available, and the 100 projects really show all the capabilities (and how they are used). From that you can start working with your LCD.

Here is the data sheet for the LCD http://www.lcdinfo.com/lcd/datasheets/ks0108b.pdf This unit has 8 Data pins and is hard to interface this chip to a PSOC 4 when you add in the other control pins you do not have very many resources left for other uses.. I have a small color display Arduino Nokia 6100. That is working on PSOC 4. I guess that your major issue is you already have the LCD display and want to make it, Work, Here is some Arduino code that you could convert to PSOC 4 to drive the display. http://playground.arduino.cc/Code/GLCDks0108. I also have a 84x44 Lcd working on PSOC 4 this device is driven by serial buss.I can provide you a LCD library on PSOC 4 that drives an HD44780 pin out works on any pin on any port..

Maybe remake of my project GLCD_1WIRE.zip can help you
for Graphic LCD Module POWERTIP PG-12864A on this page.
The project is perhaps, a non-working, but now I am unable to test this, you'll have to do it yourself.

I add a small example to connect PSoC4 and display 128x64 (controller KS0108B)
GLCD_128x64_PSoC4.zip
It looks like this: http://mylab.wmsite.ru/_mod_files/ce_images/cypress/glcd_dma.gif
