Best Cypress MCU for TENS Therapy device (Replacing ST-Micro MCU)

Hello Team Cypress,

Please recommend a Cypress product that can replace ST-Micro's  STM32G0B1KET6N
(STM32G0B1KE - Mainstream Arm Cortex-M0+ 32-bit MCU, up to 512KB Flash, 144KB RAM, 6x USART, timers, ...).

The MCU specifications to be met follow:

-program memory size : 512kB .
-package / case                : LQFP-48 ( 7 X 7mm )
-Core                                     : equal or faster than Cortex Arm - M0 core
-interface type                  : in the needs of UART x4, I2C x1

The client wants to consider Cypress MCU as well if there is a product available that can deliver the features required. 

The target MCU will be applied for Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) therapy device, 
The MCU will be used for GPS+LTE controller and will support FOTA update (96Kb).



Is there a Cypress part that meet the specifications above?
If there are parts available and if you could share the Cypress MCU part number, that would be deeply appreciated.

Hi @benkim,
Thanks for choosing the Cypress products. From your mentioned application and requirements I can suggest the following MCUs:
Packaging 68-QFN, 8 x 8 x 1 mm height with 0.4-mm pitch:
1. CY8C6336LQI-BLF42
2. CY8C6336LQI-BLF02
These two have support for up to 6 SCBs (can be configured for either UART or I2C), 512KB FLASH and ARM Cortex M4 CPU.
If the dimensionality of packaging is the problem then you can use
CY8C6336BZI-BLD13: BGA packaging
116-BGA, 5.2 x 6.4 x 0.70 mm height with 0.5-mm pitch
It supports up to 9 SCBs.
