Nor Flash Forum Discussions
Hi sir/ma’am,
In one of Project, I have used S25FL032P232-Mbit CMOS 3.0 Volt Flash Memory with 104-MHz SPI (Serial
Peripheral Interface) Multi I/O Bus, which is interfaced with LPC4357FBD208, I tried to read & write
data using SPIFI Protocol but controller is not getting any response from
FLASH Memory IC for both the read & write operation, please let me know, is
there any configuration has to be done in FLASH IC while using SPIFI? if yes,
please guide me for the same, looking forward for your response.
Part No:- IC: S25FL032P0XMFI011

Show LessHello.
I'm using the S25FL256S with EFM32GG11 of Silicon Labs.
And I have a sample code for 'MX25L25635F'.
I have tried to set to Quad mode.
But I couldn't set it.
I understand that the 'S25FL256S' has Quad mode register in Configuration Register.
I'm trying to set register as below in EFM32GG11.
qspi->FLASHWRDATALOWER = buffer[0]; // Status Register
qspi->FLASHWRDATAUPPER = buffer[1]; // Configuration Register
It can't update the Configuration Register, but the Status Register can it.
Is it need a command for updating the Configuration Register?
Show LessI want to know reliablility of S29GL01GS10DHI010.
- FIT rate (I hear it is "100". Is it correct?)
- Conditions for the calculation (Junction Temperature/Confidential level)
Can you please provide me.
Thanks,
Tetsuo
Show LessGood afternoon,
I’m working on an old am29pli60c flash memory.
I have to erase some sectors.
Unfortunately, I’m not able to identify the addresses of each sector.
In the documentation I found :
- If I implement this logic, only sector addresses with 1 bit can be erased (SA1, SA4, SA5 and SA7)
- I don't understand the addressing of the sector SA3
Does anyone have more information about the sector addressing ?
Thanks in advance,
Show LessMy design use both Zynq-7020 and S25FL128LAGNFM01. The Flash is connected in QSPI mode, but cannot be identified by Zynq. Here is the design.
Does Zynq support SPI or QSPI communication with S25FL128LAGNFM01?
Thanks for any reply.

Is it possible to use S29GL064N90TFI01 or S29GL064N90TFI02 with VIO connected to 2.5V power supply? According to datasheet, it seems that VIO can be in the range 1.65V-3.6V but at page 14, it is listed all models with these notes
01 = x8/x16, VCC = VIO = 2.7 – 3.6 V, Uniform sector, WP#/ACC = VIL protects highest addressed sector
02 = x8/x16, VCC = VIO = 2.7 – 3.6 V, Uniform sector, WP#/ACC = VIL protects lowest addressed sector
Thanks.
Show LessHello all,
I have a Ibis model... wonder if there is a copyright issue if we share this with another customer. this particular part number S29GL512N has 2 notes 1. "contact support" under the https://www.cypress.com/simulation-models 2. we have the IBIS model as part step 1 but i dont know if there is an issue of us sharing it?
what i'm asking is. is there any issue sharing this IBIS model with our customer? does this in any way infringe the copyright?
Show LessHello Cypress team,
We are working on a Handheld battery-powered medical device. We are using the Cypress S25FL256LAGNFV010 SPI NOR flash as our storage device. We would like the design to be reviewed by the Cypress team. Attached the snippet of the schematic implementation. Could you please review our design & provide your valuable review comments.
