Hello:
The C66 series master controller chip used to drive the S25FS512S chip
I used the original driver for N25Q064 to drive it, and their 3-byte address commands are basically the same, but I found that it is not right, the data coming back from the readid command does not correspond to the manual, and if I erase and read/write it directly, it appears to be shifted, for example, if I write 0x55, I read 0x2A, and if I write 0xAA, I read back to D5.
I've adjusted the SPI clock mode, tried all four modes of polarity and phase, none of them are correct, is there a big guy on the TEAM to guide me?
Or can you give a routine that has successfully driven the S25FS512S?
In the attachment I put the driver routines I'm using now.
Thank you!

Show LessHi Everyone,
We are using parallel NOR flash(S29JL032J) in our custom board. I have gone through the datasheet of this chip. Need to develop driver for this chip. Any example programs on this will be greatly helpful. Tried searching the web, but no luck.
Any references?
ThankYou!!
Show LessS29GL128P11TFI020 is discontinued (PDN PD_075_24 - see attached, page 6) and the replacement recommended on the same PDN is S29GL128S90TFI020. However, S29GL128P11TFI020 can work in either byte or word mode, and I don't see that capability with the recommended replacement part S29GL128S90TFI020. Of course, my legacy design uses the byte mode of operation. How can Infineon recommend a non 100% compatible replacement!? Can anyone confirm this, or am I missing something? Perhaps it is because this was originally a Cypress part.
Show LessHi,
I need the IBIS model for the below IC for SI analysis.
S25FL256SAGNFI001
Thanks

I'm currently reviewing the S25FL512S to be used as a QSPI device. Looking through the data sheet I can see a rise and fall time slew rate specified for the clock. Are there any rise and fall time specifications for any of the data lines or the chip select line? Under the AC test measurement conditions I can see a maximum Input Rise and Fall time of 2.4 ns listed, but that's about all I can find.
Show LessHello,
We are developing battery operated device with u-blox NORA-B106-10B (ESP32-S3) module as a MCU. Due to large flash (64 Mbit) project requirement, we have selected Infenion S25FL064L (S25FL064LABMFI013) flash connected over SPI interface.
As per ESP-IDF docuement, (esp_deep_sleep_start()
) function will force power down flash regardless of user configuration.
As per our testing observation with ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 (It has external 64Mbit SPI flash memory. Sorry, Not sure about Flash memory vendor part number), we could put SPI flash memory in sleep mode and takes less than 1 mA.
Same test we have also performed with u-blox NORA-B106-10B and Infenion S25FL064L (S25FL064LABMFI013) flash memory in our prototype hardware. It takes around 10-12 mA current consumption when MCU in sleep mode (lowest power mode of ESP32-S3). It means, S25FL064L couldn't switch to power down mode when MCU in sleep mode.
Looking forward for your response. Thanks in advance.
