Hi,

It is under consideration to use the EVAL_IMD700A_FOC_3SH.

When the board has been modified for single shunt from three shunt also a software on XMC1404 has been tuned for it with DAVE "PMSM FOC motor control software using XMC™, application note (V 1.5);
2018-12-31", can I use the BPA motor control GUI tool for that ?

Best Regards,
Kazunari Hayashi

Hi @NXTY_hayashi,

As mention in the document 'Evaluation board EVAL_IMD700A_FOC_3SH 18 V brushless DC motor drive board '

"The device integrates three CS amplifiers that can be used to measure the current in the inverter via shunt
resistors. Single, double or triple shunt measurements are supported. Each CS amplifier can be enabled individually."

Enable Only one CS Amplifier in the BPA motor control GUI for the single shunt configuration. Please also configure OCP as per requirement.

For further information please refer to the above document.

Thank you

Best Regards

Raj Chaudhari

Dear, Raj-san and Vinay-san,

Thanks to your point, I have confirmed that the software of XMC1404 on EVAL_IMD700A_FOC_3SH supports both  single and leg shunt, and can switch those functions by the BPA motor control GUI.

I guess the software is complex. Do you have a plan to release the software or application note of it ?

Best Regards,
Kazunari Hayashi

Hi Hayashi-san,

Good Day!

You can refer to the application note EVAL_IMD700A_FOC_3SH 18 V brushless DC motor drive board. For tuning Gate driver parameters, please refer to the section "4.1.1.3.4 Procedure for tuning the gate drive on the bench".

For Software, you can refer to the firmware from the 6EDL7141 product page Infineon-MOTIX_Motor_Control_GUI_BPA-DevelopmentTools-v01_00-EN

Thank you!

Best Regards,
Vinay

Dear Vinay-san,

I can only find SPI sample software at that site as an attached image.
Do you release a full firmware include BLDC FOC, BPA communication for PC and SPI for 6EDL7141 ?

Best Regards,
Kazunari Hayashi
