Hi,
Im looking for product lifecycle information on these 2 MCUs - CY8C22345 and CY8C22345-24SXIT. Im trying to use any of the 2 mentioned MCUs as a drop in replacement for CY8C26443-24PI. Any suggestions will be helpful.
Thanks.

Hi,
CY8C26443-24PI is in production. Would you like to consider the newer generation of PSoC4 family of parts for your application? There could be some changes to be done for it, but may be beneficial in the long run considering the design is new.

Hello @Prati_12 ,
CY8C26443-24PI is not in production, while CY8C22345-24SXIT is in production. While CY8C26443-24PI is 28 pin 300-mil DIP, CY8C22345-24SXIT is a 28-pin SOIC. Furthermore, the firmware would need to be migrated and validated again. Hence, it would be best to migrate to our newer PSoC4 family.
Best regards,

Thank you, For the CY8C22345-24SXIT it is surface mount, so only the pads on the PCB need to redesigned. With Psoc4 MCUs, I think we need to redesign the power supply, pads and software. Have I understood this correctly?
If I plan to try both options, is there a evaluation kit (for firmware validation) or tutorial that can be suggested?
Regarding the product lifecycle: I was thinking which one is the most recent/newer between these - CY8C22345, CY8C27443PXI, Y8C22345-24SXIT?
Also, just to confirm, I choose the Psoc4 products by this link : https://www.cypress.com/search/psg/1297#/?_facetShow=ss_pdedicated_adc_max_resolution_sample_rate_,f...
Thanks.

Hello @Prati_12 ,
CY8C22345, CY8C27443PXI, Y8C22345-24SXIT are all of the same generation, and mature product families. Hence I suggest you consider our PSoC4 family. You will need to redesign hardware and firmware. You can find information in the webpage for PSoC4 regarding Code Examples, kits, tutorials, Application Notes.
Best regards,
Sampath
