Question: What is the maximum sustainable transfer rate the FX2LP can obtain in GPIF transfer mode?
Answer:
The GPIF controller is designed to operate at a maximum IFCLK rate of 48MHz. If the external interface method is 16-bit synchronous, then a burts transfer rate of 96MByte/sec can be achieved. However, the sustainable throughput will depend on a number of factors like host controller hardware and software perfomance as well as the host application being used.
