Global Even and Odd Buses in PSoC1

Question: What are the differences between Global Even and Global Odd nets and when should they be used?

Answer:

When a signal has to be taken from a pin to a digital block or from a digital block to a pin, the Global In and Global Out buses are used.  These buses are further divided into Global_In_Odd_x, Global_In_Even_x, Global_Out_Odd_x and Global_Out_Even_x.  Global_In_Odd_x and Global_Out_Odd_x nets are used when connecting to a pin from/to an odd port.  Global_In_Even_x and Global_Out_Even_x nets are used when connecting to a pin from/to an even port.

Global_In_Odd_x and Global_Out_Odd_x <> P1, P3, P5
Global_In_Even_x and Global_Out_Even_x <> P0, P2, P4
