Hi ,
We are using CYW89820BWMLGT chipset in our i.Mx6 based custom board. As there is no firmware available in the chipset we are not able to test the chipset functionality in our board.
Please let us know is it required to program the module first. If yes , Please clarify us that is it through HCI UART protocol commands. If No, Please let us know the commands and document to refer.
Also if programming is necessary what is the address to which the firmware is to be programmed using the commands.
Thank you,
Deepanraj.A

Hi,
Since, 89820 is not a broad market chip, there is a limitation in supporting it in Community. So for more details and documentations, I would suggest you to contact the Cypress Sales - https://www.cypress.com/about-us/sales-offices.
But for programming, I guess, you can refer WICED-HCI-Control-Protocol.pdf from below link which explains how a host microcontroller unit (MCU) can communicate with a Cypress WICED device via HCI UART. It also contains, the general method and commands of downloading an application to the device (RAM or Flash).
