Hello Team Cypress,

I am here to ask for your best recommendation on
the Cypress RFSoC product that can support the following features.

hoop4g_1-1632719084720.png

* Components:

1x smartphone or tablet PC, 1x Master speaker, 1-3x slave speakers

* The desired feature that client wants to implement:

when a smartphone or tablet PC builds blutooth connections with speakers,
it gets connected to a master speaker’s blutooth module, and
send the audio output up to 3 slave speakers’ blutooth module through Slave SPK.

* Specifications to be delivered:
1. Blutooth module, on a master speaker, shall support both receiver and transmitter simultaneously.
2.
 Blutooth module, on a master speaker, shall support multi-point feature while operating as a transmitter.
3. Additionally, the blutooth module shall support apt-x feature for the audio output.
4. Blutooth module, on the master speaker, shall support two types of audio output, stereo or mono, depending on connection settings; In the case when there are one slave speaker and one master speaker in the connection, the master speaker will support the left channel mono audio output and the slave speaker will support the right channel mono audio output. If master speaker is a sole speaker or there are more than two speakers in the connection settings, the master speaker will support the stereo audio output.

Is there a Cypress product available that can deliver the features above?

* More questions:

If any of the Cypress RFSoC products can support the features above, I would like to ask the following questions for more.
- how many slaves can it be connected simultaneously in order to perform the above features seamlessly?
- While the simultaneous connection has been built, how many channels can the audio data be delivered through the connection?

If there is a Cypress RFSoC that is capable of delivering the features above, would you recommend?
Further, if you have a success stories with a Cypress product similar to the desired features described here,
please do share it. It would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your help and considerations to help.

Sincerely,
Ben

Hi,

We recommend to use CYW20721 chip for audio applications.

Please check the Technical Brief to know the supported Apps/Features.

https://community.cypress.com/t5/Resource-Library/AIROC-Bluetooth-SDK-3-1-Technical-Brief/ta-p/28645...

In my knowledge apt-x is not supported in our device. Remaining connections can be acheived if it does not violate the Bluetooth spec.

Thanks,
