Hi, IFX
From datasheet of XMC4800-E196K2048 thermal data we can find the RθJA = 27k/W.
It seems we could not find RθJC , Could you please advise what is the value of RθJC ?
Thanks a lot for the help.
Show LessHi there
Sorry if this is a simple question but I'm a little stumped
My project involves attaching an arduino based lcd tft screen to an XMC4700 Relax through the arduino pins (that I've soldered female headers to)
In a previous post I was advised to upload the code straight to the xmc, but I'm getting errors every time I do this. I'm trying different libraries (such as tft display libraries from arduino, adafruit and elegoo) and there are different errors every time, but a common error message in every one is "Board not supported"
I'm using the xmc board package from infineon (I've installed both V1 and V2), so the board should be recognised
Any ideas would be very appreciated. Cheers

Hey,
I am trying to use the SDMMC peripheral without the DAVE App, but have some trouble doing so. Is there any documentation available, on how to properly initialize it? Didn't find that part in the reference manual. While "13.11 Initialisation [..]" sounds promising it describes the initialization of a transfer only. Starting from the Dave App code didn't work for me so far.
Thanks 😉
Show LessThe release notes for the latest update for Segger's J-Link software had this in it:
[J-Link-OB-XMC4200]: Added support for ARM Cortex-M23, Cortex-M33 cores.
[XMC Link]: Added support for ARM Cortex-M23, Cortex-M33 cores.
Does this imply that Infineon is releasing, or is about to release, XMC MCUs with Cortex-M23 or M33 cores?

Hi,
our processor is XMC4800-144pin.
we are confused if XMC4800-144pin could support an eMMC card with data-bus-width of 8 bits.
We want to utilize all the eight data bits.
however this section from Reference manual confused us:
thank you in advance.

Hello,
I'm writing a program that write to, and read from flash and I have stange behavior, I thinking due to FSR->PFDBER bit that go high.
For example I'm using debugger and I point to flash with a simple pointer used like array:
Sometime work fine but sometime I have bus fault and bit PFDBER go on. Another test I have done is if I debug some "for" iterations (3-4) with debugger step by step and after I resume program, problem not happens.
I increased XMC_FLASH_SetWaitStates(8) from 4 to 8 but error persist. I disable XMC_FLASH_DisableDoubleBitErrorTrap() and bus fault not happens but I don't trust the readed data if bit PFDBER is high.
Also command "XMC_FLASH_ProgramPage" sometime looks like not write all data in flash, but I don't know if the problem is the read operation or the write because the debugger sometimes show ?????? and sometime is not refreshed I don't know why?
I hope someone can help me to clarify the situatio, so I ask:
- Someone can explain me better what PFDBER means and how to manage it?
- Before flash write operation I MUST disable interrupts or not?
- Before flash write operation I MUST erase sector?
- Before reading or writing is better to "XMC_FLASH_ClearStatus();"?
- There need some waiting time after write(I waiting for FLASH_FSR_PBUSY_Msk) or read?
- When debugger memory show all ????? what can I do? Ho can I refresh memory showed in debugger?
Thank's in advance for support,
Andrea.

Hi all
I'd like to put a display screen on the xmc4700, by using the arduino compatible pins. I was wondering if it is possible to use a commercial off the shelf arduino tft display to do this, plugging them into the arduino headers the xmc.
If it is possible, how could i go about coding with this display? Could i use the libraries and APPS already available to write on the display? Or would it have to be an infineon product only?
Thanks

Hi team,
Greetings of the day,
Am presently working on BLDC_SCALAR_HALL_XMC1300 example code, I have tested our custom motor and getting Phase Voltages and Currents as trapezoidal with 120 degrees conduction mode, I have small queries regarding ...
1) Is Trapezoidal and Sinusoidal generation depends on motor commutation (120 or 180) or Independent ?
2) Is it possible to generate Sinusoidal waveform using above example code for both Sensored and Sensorless to reduce switching losses and How to reduce power dissipation ?
3) What modulation should I use in order to generate sinusoidal commutation (Highside or Sync rectification modulation) ?
4) What is the procedure to Implement sinusoidal commutation ?
Can you explain me briefly with necessary docs ....
Thanking you advance
Suraj, N
Show LessI have a board with an XMC1400 MCU on it. It is a custom board with LEDs and buttons and so on. So I accidentally add a '''XMC_SCU_RESET_AssertMasterReset()''' line at the beginning of the code... This function cause xmc to reset but it doesn't just reset the program counter, it also clears everything and ends the debug connection. And since it happens so quickly I cannot reconnect before it resets again. For the one who doesn't know, when you load a program to the xmc, it gets written to the flash, and once it's loaded it will always run with power up. I know in some boards there are some pins used to clear to board when shorted but there is no such a thing in this one. There are however several bootstrap loaders(can and uart). But they are disabled by a flash parameter called BMI. I don't have much hope but is there a way to rescue this processor? Thanks!
Show LessHi,
you can find a chart in "Infineon-XMC7000-Product-Brief-ProductBrief-v01_00-EN.pdf" that XMC7200 can support
FlexRay.
Is that correct ?
