You are connecting one of Infineon's develepmont boards, e.g. XMC boards with debugger chip XMC4200, to the PC and the board is not recognized by the Windows OS Device Manager?
Probably you are using an USB charging cable instead of an USB data cable. You might sort your USB cables with the help of a smartphone.
In case you connect the phone with a charging cable it shows you with a thunderbold sign on the top right that the battery is being charged.
Using a data cable will change the situation, the USB connection will be shown by a dialog asking you if the computer is allowed to access the phone's data.

Please refer to this picture about the USB connection to the XMC4200 debugger chip.

Hi,

I am using the above kit and trying to set or clear the registers as per Infineon-ReferenceManual_XMC4700_XMC4800-UM-v01_03-EN.pdf most of the registers are not working
ex: trying to clear the PSR bits by setting the corresponding bits of PSCR bit and it is not working.

Do the processor mode to be set to supervisory mode to do this operation if then then please suggest how to do it.

I am using xmc4500 relax kit for my project. I need to use on board 32mbit FL032FIP flash memory to store the data. is there any prgram for it?. i tried to connect the flash with spi master but cannot read from memory. Show Less

I designed a new board with XMC4700.
starting debug session stops always at XMC_SCU_HIB_SetStandbyClockSource(config->fstdby_clksrc);
while (XMC_SCU_GetMirrorStatus() != 0)

Any ideas?

Hi,

I need help resolving a problem regarding UART over the OBD.
I am trying to implement a communication between a XMC4300 RelaxKit (through on-board-debugger of the board) and a laptop.
Receiving UART Messages works fine until after the first UART transmit to the Laptop takes place. After that the reception doesn't seem to work anymore. No UART signals are even reaching the dedicated µC pins. The following error shows up when I use the DAVE debugger:



After resetting the board I can receive and transmit one message before I have to reset it again.
I already installed the latest J-Link Software (V6.85b).
My best guess would be that the Debugging IC is somehow crashing after the transmit thus blocking the UART from reaching the µC.
The Software itself should not be the cause as I used almost the same one on the XMC1400 board without any problems.

Any help would be appreciated

We are using the XMC4700 in high sampling rate 6-7ch, 4 groups.
When averaging many samples, we see different offsets (about +-0.3ADC steps) when rebooting the chip or when changing trig inputs on the ADC.
We beleve this has to do with the internal calibration of the ADC done on startup but why it also occurs when changing trig input on the ADC is more unclear.
Does anyone have similar issues or suggestion on how to understand what offset/calibration is applied in the current measurement?
Is it possible to deactivate the internal calibraiton (except the calibration flag on each conversion)?
Any input regarding this is of interest.

Hi.

I study the Distance2Go kit.

But,

There are many parts that I do not understand since I used the xmc4200 chip and dave tool for the first time.

I am currently watching FMCW PROJECT.

I am looking at the source based on the MAIN() Function.

This is what I have understood so far.

1. The process_run() function seems to play a role to display in the Radar GUI.

2. The usb processing part of the process_run() function is processed according to the usb communication structure.

3. It seems to process data received by RF with DMA_Event_Handler.

Is the content I understand so far correct?

And I need a little more detailed explanation of process_run function and DMA_Event_Handler.
