Implementation of XMC4400 in our Air Conditioner circuit.
https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/evaluation-boards/kit_xmc_plt2go_xmc4400/
Currently my requirements are as follows
Operating voltage 5v dc, Analog inputs: 2, Digital inputs : 9, Digital Outputs: 4.
Digital inputs include push buttons, status monitoring of devices connected. Digital Outputs include relay energization, lamp control and NO/NC contact.
Referring page no 12, Currently GPIO pins available are 4 so please advice the way forward either to use any auxiliary board to fulfill the application or existing pins can be utilized.
Hi,
What is the ramp-up time/slew rate for XMC4800 on VDDP power-up?
The XMC1400 datasheet had this information, but not the XMC4800.
If this parameter is not specified, what happens if VDDP and VDDC are above the reset threshold voltage (VPOR/VPV) but not above the operating voltage (3.13V)?

I am having a compile issue with my DAVE project. I simplified my code so it is easy to see the problem.
The attached project gives error during build. Nothing shows up as a mistake in the individual files. If the "functions" file is removed from the project then it builds fine.
Any help to identify the issue would be very much appreciated.
Hi Infineon.
Are there any Infineon non-automotive MCUs that have built-in SRAM with ECC?
My understanding is that only XMC7000 series(XMC7100/7200) has built-in SRAM with ECC at this time.
Is my understanding correct?
Best Regards.

Show LessHello,
Currently, I am working on XMC 4400 Platform2Go kit and in future I will work on XMC4400-F64K256 MCU.
I want to understand the major limitations of XMC 4400 MCU CAN message Tx/Rx IDs:
As refer to DAVE IDE Apps:
1. Using CAN Node App, we can create total 32 message object, Correct?
2. Using MultiCAN App, we can create total 64 message object, Correct?
As referring to reference manual,
3. It is mentioned that XMC4400 supports 64 message object and 0x7ff message IDs (i.e. 2047). Then, what is correlation between message object and message ID?
4. Do we have limitation to 64 tx & rx message objects only? i.e. we will able to transfer or receive 64-bit 64 messages only where message IDs can be anything between 0x0 to x7ff (i.e. 0 to 2047)-> I need confirmation over here, please rectify my understanding if I am wrong.
||==>>Yes, It may be true that we practically don't need 64-bit data to be transfer over CAN (in special cases may be need)- But let consider I need 64-bit 100 messages I want to transfer or receive in that case how I can Tx/Rx with 64 message objects.
Please, provide your suggestions.
Thanks & Regards,
Prathamesh
I found one answer regarding implementing a bootloader over ethernet that didn't actually answer the question.
Can an XMC device have the flash programmed over an ethernet interface?
My application is an embedded device mounted in an industrial enclosure that is difficult to access without bringing down the customer production line due to lockout/tagout requirements. The embedded device is networked to a host PC with 100Mb Ethernet as the only means of communication. I'm looking to update an older design that doesn't currently have any means of updating the FW without physical access to the PCB and want to build in a remote update capability.
Show LessHi everybody,
I used the Infineon sample source code and ran it successfully with TWINCAT.
I'm starting with the "EtherCAT Conformance Test".
I ran the report and detected 8 errors as shown below.
I'm trying to solve each of them one by one, so I created this topic hoping everyone can help and so everyone can easily use EtherCAT.
1. For the first error: I changed Device name to "ECAT_Valve" and Group type to "Valve slave", but got an error.
How can I change:
"Infineon slave" to "Valve slave"
"XMC_ESC" to "ECAT_Valve"
2. Can you suggest me how to fix the remaining errors?

Hi XMC comunity,
in this post
Solved: Re: CCU8 module, drive outputs to passive level, d... - Infineon Developer Community
it was suggesed to stop timer to stop PWM output.
In situation when I have one CCU8 slice to generate interrupt and remaining slices to generate PWM. How can I synchronously start stopped timers to be again in sync with interrupt generating timer (which continued to run and cannot be stopped)?
