Hi,
I have a very simple question but could not find out the answer. I have XMC 4500 relax kit and i want to know on which logic voltage level it operates 5V or 3.3V. for example does it consider 5V as logic 1 or 3.3V as logic 1.
BR,
Fahad

The chip supports only 3.3V if you would like to use 5V then you have to levelshift

thanks shazter for your quick reply. but the confusion is, i have setup an external interrupt to an input pin with the rising edge. if i go from 0 to 3.3V or 0 to 5V it works with both of these perfectly fine. it works with both of them. still dont know how its working with both of these voltage levels.

Hello,
you use the internal clamping diodes in that case and if you have a resistor in series to the input pin then the clamping diodes are protected, otherwise the current can be get to high and the diode will die.
You described very poor your circuit.
