Hello,
I need to count pulses of a high speed signal pattern with the XMC4k and plan to use the CCU4/8 in "External Count Signal" Mode.
The original pulses of the signal pattern are at about 120MHz with a short pulse of 500ps.
I assume that is too fast to be directly being used as a counting event.
I would like to use a pre-divider to use the CCU counter with the highest possible resolution.
What is the maximum frequency resp. minimum pulse width which can be used as a counting event by the CCU and how would I used the CCU in the best way to get the highest frequency?
Thx

Hello,
As the XMC4500 clock frequency is 120Mhz. So the finest resolution for CCU8/CCU4 clock is about 8.333ns.
You may use DAVE CCU4/CCU8 apps to configure as counting event.
