I found an error / contradiction within the XMC 4800 reference manual (v1.3 2016-07):
-table 26-12 states that pin P4.0 can have as ALT4 function the following connectivity: U1C0.SCLKOUT
- table 18-26 lists all possible connections of USIC 1 CH 0 clock outputs, and pin P4.0 is NOT present (there are only P0.11 and PP5.8)
My question is :
Is it possible to configure pin P4.0 as clock output from USIC 1 channel 0 configured as SPI (SSI) master (so that clock is an output) ?

Yes, the P4.0 can be configured to U1C0 SPI CLOCK OUT.
