Hello,

I'm trying to connect to the evaluation boards EVAL_3K3W_BIDI_PSFB and EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC, but the GUI does not recognize the boards.

The computer recognizes the XMC Link, and the DEBUG LED is ON, as the manual explains. I already downloaded and installed the latest version of J-Link driver "JLink_Windows_V794a_x86_64".

I don't see any troubleshooting or extra steps to follow in the manual. Could someone tell me what I'm missing here?

Thanks

After contacting support, they clarified that the 3.3V XMC supply (isolated side of the XMC link is supplied from a voltage regulator on the board. It starts operating min 100V for the LLC as described in Chapter 1, page 3.

So to do that, I connected the EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC to the AC and joined the DC output with ~160VDC into the HV port of the EVAL_3K3W_BIDI_PSFB.

However, to move the board into boost mode, I have to switch SW1 and pre-charge HV input by an external power source 330 V to 380 V and at least 1 A (pre-charging of bulk capacitor). Otherwise, the board will not start.

Dear @alvaroomf,

Good Day!

Thanks for posting your question in the Infineon community.

Please use the advance version of SMPS GUI.

Please find the screenshot below of the SMPS GUI after powering on the board.

Thank you!

Hello Vinay,

Thanks for answering. Where did you get the advanced version? I register my board EVAL_3K3W_BIDI_PSFB, and the GUI file shows only the basic mode.

I updated the XMC Link as recommended in the SEGGER J-Link

When I connect the board to the USB port and click on Connect in the SMPS GUI, the red LED blinks and the green LED is on all the time

Based on the XMC Link schematic, the middle pins on both sides should provide 3.3V to the Evaluation board, but I'm measuring 0V. Any idea how to activate those pins?
