Infineon XMC MCUs with Cortex-M23 and/or M33 Cores?

The release notes for the latest update for Segger's J-Link software had this in it:

[J-Link-OB-XMC4200]: Added support for ARM Cortex-M23, Cortex-M33 cores.

[XMC Link]: Added support for ARM Cortex-M23, Cortex-M33 cores.

Does this imply that Infineon is releasing, or is about to release, XMC MCUs with Cortex-M23 or M33 cores?

Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our products. This is just a standard process of including Arm core support to the Segger jlink tool, it does not specify any product or device from Infineon here. In future for sure there might be product that will use these standard cores. In such cases there will be an official announcement from Infineon side.

That sounds like a typical Marketing reply--deny knowledge of new products until the day they're announced.

My bet is on actual products based on the CM23 and CM33 cores existing internally at Infineon with an announcement forthcoming. Segger has long supported the CM23 and CM33 cores in their J-Link software, so their mentioning it now in conjunction with XMC is a strong indicator that they did it to support specific, unannounced Infineon products based on CM23 and CM33.
