Hi,

For the connection problem, you can follow the steps to check your board:

    1) Open 'Device Manager', check if your PC can recognize your J-link device. If not, check whether you have installed the correct driver or not? And whether your board has powered on correctly.

    2) Open 'J-Link Commander' and enter 'GetBMI' to obtain the current BMI value. BMI=2 indicates that you are currently in User Mode Debug mode and can connect normally; If BMI=0, it indicates that it is currently in ASC mode.

    3) If an error occurs when obtaining the BMI value in the second step, and the BMI value cannot be obtained, you can try plugging and unplugging several times and then re acquire it.

    4) If the power on reset is still unsuccessful, proceed with the wiring as shown in the figure below, and then re acquire the BMI value. If successful, enter 'SetBMI 2' to set the board to the User Mode Debug mode.

    5) If the board is set to ASC mode, it is not possible to obtain BMI values through J-link Commander. You can obtain it through the DAVE IDE or use MemTool, as shown in the following figure.

    6) You can use an XMC-LINK to connect with your board, and then use DAVE or J-LINK commander to change the BMI value.

Owen

Hi, @linru ,

Could you please tell us more details about your problem? You can share a screenshot, and also, which product you are using right now?

Here I give you some suggestions:

    1) Check if you have download the J-LINK driver correctly.

    2) Check the BMI value of your board, the right BMI value for you to debug is 2 (SWD0 mode).
