I'm evaluating the BLDCBCH03 app with the XMC1300 and PMSM eval board. I cannot find reference to any function for charging the bootstrap capacitors when starting the motor. Is there a method for charging these caps that I am overlooking?
I understand the caps could be charged through the motor winding when a single lower-leg is fired, during normal conduction in any single sector, but this would not seem ideal for starting the motor. Typically, all three bottom legs are pulsed to charge the bootstrap caps, before the motor is commutated.
I would appreciate any insight.
Regards,
Joshua
