hello

I have question about MID of CyFi(CYRF6936).

If MID use value on the memory(Rom table like using flash ...etc), I think It will have limitation of data retension.

I can find about MID on P2 on below doccument
https://www.cypress.com/file/121441/download

Manufacturing ID: Each CyFi radio modem contains a 4-byte manufacturing ID (MID) that has been laser fused into the radio silicon during manufacturing.

I can't understand avobe explanastion of "that has been laser fused".

Does it mean that this directry connect to VCC or GND by cutting fuse?

thanks

Is this for a new design or an already existing one?

It is not for new design. It is about existing product.

yes, laser fused refer to the burning of selected fuses done at manufacturing. This determines the MID of the device.

For the data retention, this part is based on our SONOS 130nm technology. Please check the attached document which has details of data retention at various temperatures - https://www.cypress.com/file/123341/download#:~:text=Cypress'%20130%2Dnm%20SONOS%20technology,ambien....
