Hi,
I want to develop a tool on windows to allow the loading of firmware through BLE.
I use exlusively Cypress DFU BLE Libs and to do firmware loading I use Cysmart with ble dongle for now.
I want to develop custom app to do it.
Can you please provide documentation on how we can send .cyacd2 files using BLE ?
Do you have example app with source code for this ?
Thank you for your support,
Kind regards

The BGA package used for CYW43353 has some designated keepout areas for top layer copper. I was hoping there might be a DXF available of this detail so that i can transpose it for checks against my layout.

Hello Infineon support team.
We developded CYW20721B2KUMLG module. But the application does not work well like below.
- No WICED_BT_TRACE output
- No start discovery process
- Chip hangs up after booting
We build our application with following platform.
- Kit Name CYW920721M2EVK-01
- MCU: CYW20721B2KUMLG
- Connectivity : CYW20721B2
- Template Application: Audio Headset and Speaker
In the first place, should we use above build platform? yes or no??
Thanks,
Tayo
Hi,
I want to change the BLE power in my software to adapt the range.
The goal is to decrease range when my device is on pairing mode and increase range when is in "standard" mode
Does anyone have a feedback on this ?
Thank you in advance for your support,
Regards
Show LessHi,
I am working on a CYW43907 custom board that is battery powered. Very rarely I experience an issue that the CYW43907 gets stuck and cannot be reset using the reset pin (REG_ON signal). The only way to recover from this state is to cut the power which means to physically disconnect the battery.
After doing sniff of the communication between the MCU and the SFLASH on the quad SPI bus I discovered that the MCU reads a few bytes from the SFLASH (at addresses 0x00, 0x0C, 0x00, 0x0C, 0x10, 0x18, 0x14 in this order) and then stops. After pulling the reset line it does the same again. The data that is read from the SFLASH is correct and the signal looks OK on an oscilloscope.
When the issue occurs I tried starting a debugging session in the WICED IDE. The MCU stays in the reset handler and does not execute any instructions. However, it is possible to read registers and memory which means that the JTAG interface is working.
My guess is that the MCU gets stuck in the ROM (first stage) bootloader which is supposed to load the application (second stage) bootloader from the SFLASH. Is there any reason for the ROM bootloader to stop before loading the firmware from the SFLASH? Is there anything else that can be tested or measured in order to find the cause of the problem?
Thanks, Krystof
Show LessHi,
Could someone tell me how to acquire "A peak saturated power output (in watts)" for AW-CU544?
Shoudl I look into CYW43439 datasheet?
I need to know "A peak saturated power output (in watts)" to evaluate the following equation.
[Psat>505.62 W*GHz2/fGHz^2]
The above equation is from the document below.
Commerce Control List Supplement No. 1 to Part 774 Category 3—page 12
https://www.bis.doc.gov/index.php/documents/regulations-docs/2334-ccl3-8/file
b.12.a. A peak saturated power output (in watts), Psat, greater than 505.62 divided by the maximum operating frequency (in GHz) squared [Psat>505.62 W*GHz2/fGHz^2] for any channel;

Hi All
I have designed a circuit using a CYBLE 416045-02 module but when I tested my fabricated board, it did not respond to Bluetooth, I tried to test it with the "find me" example, and no response
My board can communicate through a USB-SERIAL chip to Tera term and also I can program using miniprog programmer (SWD) pins.
I have attached part of the circuit if anyone can help on this issue thank you in advance
power is provided by 3.3 V, The power to the chip goes through a jumper hence different naming

Show LessHello
I have created a project in modus toolbox which I have been able to program onto a cyw920721m2epa2 with a CYW9BTM2BASE1.
In my final project the cyw920721m2epa2 will be mounted in a m2 slot on a custom pcb. Instead of programming the bt-module on the CYW9BTM2BASE1 programmer, I would like to use the 2*6 pin header from the miniprog 4.
I cant find any guide on programming an AIROC bt-module with the miniprog 4, can you please help me?
Have a great day!
Hi~
I tried to promote with CYW43012
They(Customer) want to install CHIP for their own products.
Questions are like as below
Q1 : They want to CYW43012 as RTOS environments not based on OS(Linux)?
Is it possible to develop ?
Q2: If CYW43012 can be operated as standalone mode, It will be fit for their requirements.
Is it possible to be operated as stand alone mode?
Q3: If they want, they can chooose pick one method like as (WIFI only mode, BT Onlymode , WIFI & BT mode)?
Q4: If CYW43012 supports a stand-alone mode, It seems to communicate with SDIO interface and UART.
If then, They worried about the data transferring speed.
How fast can they transfer data?
Many Thanks

Hi,
One of my customers has been very happy with WICED design based module ( CYW43438 + STM32F4xx ) but a time comes for seriously start considering a newer design.
Would it be possible to retain the current WICED APP+FW binary but replace CYW43438 with CYW43439?
Or should they move on to some newer designs like AW-CU544 ( P64 + CYW43439 ) and develop a new binary for it on MTB?
