We have recently ported WICED, WWD and LwIP to use u-Velocity. All components seem to work correctly. Our issue is with the firmware programming part of the chip bringup. After the firmware is downloaded and the NVRAM image is downloaded, the function wiced_download_firmware waits for the WLAN component to come back up. At least that is what the comments in the code says. Any clue why the WLAN component would successfully download the firmware and NVRAM but not correctly come back up?Here is the code snippet that always timesout:
/* Wait until the High Throughput clock is available */ loop_count = 0; while ( ( ( result = wiced_read_register_value( BACKPLANE_FUNCTION, SDIO_CHIP_CLOCK_CSR, (uint8_t) 1, &csr_val ) ) == WICED_SUCCESS ) && ( ( csr_val & SBSDIO_HT_AVAIL ) == 0 ) && ( loop_count < (uint32_t) HT_AVAIL_TIMEOUT_MS ) ) { (void) host_rtos_delay_milliseconds( (uint32_t) 1 ); /* Ignore return - nothing can be done if it fails */ loop_count++; } if ( loop_count >= (uint32_t) HT_AVAIL_TIMEOUT_MS ) { /* If your system times out here, it means that the WLAN firmware is not booting. * Check that your WLAN chip matches the wifi_image.c being built - in GNU toolchain, $(CHIP) * makefile variable must be correct. */ WPRINT_WWD_ERROR(("Timeout while waiting for high throughput clock")); return WICED_TIMEOUT; }Show Less

Hi,I am testing two modules containing Broadcom from company Inventek Systems, the ISM4319 and the ISM43362 module.When connecting to a test access point, Eminent EM4553, the ISM4319 can connect easily but I cant get the ISM43362 to be connected as well.I made some capture files using WireShark in monitor mode and also attached the settings of the access point. One remark, when changing the security to open, so no secured network, then the ISM43362 will connect as well. I would be nice to get some feedback on this, to know why the ISM43362 will not connect (even after 20 times retry). Thanks!best regards, Mels.

Hi,
I am writing an application under the snip folder, and I have been slowly losing debugging capabilities (cannot single step, inspect variables, etc.) as the application grows larger. Are there certain memory limitations after which the debugger stops working? (I am using the BCM943362WCD4_EVB under Windows and the Netx-Duo stack).
Thanks

[SDK-2.3.1]There seems to be a bug in wiced_packet_get_data, where data_length is assigned the length of the entire packets netbuf, rather than individual contiguous pbuf:
*data_length = packet->p->tot_len;...*data_length = (uint16_t)(*data_length - offset);E.g., if I have a netbuf of 2 pbufs of 5 bytes, and read at offset 0:
data_length = 10available_length = 10data = ... pbuf (5 bytes)So I will read past the end of data if I try to read more than 5 bytes.I think the initial value should be the length of the current pbuf:
*data_length = packet->p->len;...*data_length = (uint16_t)(*data_length - offset);So same read at 0 would be:
data_length = 5available_length = 10data = ... pbuf (5 bytes)Show Less

Hello all,I have a problem connecting some APs using the snippets installed with WICED. I have five wifi APs available, but can only connect with three of them. With the other two I cant. Ive tried several settings like other channel, other security (WEP/WPA/WPA2), wifi mode (b/g/n), other SSID and passphrase, but none of the changes in the setting of the AP will make it work.Ive also copied all settings of a not working AP to a working AP and than I can connect to that AP with the same settings (and SSID and passphrase).Strange enough I have a precompiled firmware file delivered by the supplier of the SN8200EVK kit im using, and if I execute this firmware the module can connect with the AP where the snippets cant connect with. So probably its not the hardware, because this firmware can connect with the AP.Does anyone have or had the same or similar problem? and how to solve this?Modules Im using:ISM43362_M3G_L44 (Inventek)SN82xx (muRata)Wiced version:WICED 2.3.1 (also corrected the known issues, july 4, 2013)APs I cant connect with, using the snippets:ASUS RT-N10HW version: B1FW version: 2.0.2.1TP-Link TL-WA830REHW version: WA830RE v1 00000000FW version: 3.12.17 Build 111108 Rel.31187nWith kind regards,Walter van der Meiden

HiWhen I am attempting to use Wi-Fi Power save(wiced_wifi_enable_powersave() and wiced_wifi_disable_powersave), wiced_wifi_leave() function return WICED_TIMEOUT value.This is why "wiced_wifi_is_reday_to_transceive(WICED_STA_INTERFACE)" function return WICED_SUCCESS after wiced_network_down.This problem is always occurred. Why did it happen? I am reporting about this problem at twice and I was waiting your reply during 2 month.A quick response will be appreciated.Relevant details:RTOS : ThreadXNet Stack : NetX_DuoProcessor: STM32F205Wi-Fi Chip : BCM43362WICED Version : WICED-SDK-2.4.0

Were working with WICED 2.3.1 and have noticed that the beacons transmitted by the Soft AP interface do not include a Counry Information IE. Is 802.11d supported on the Soft AP interface? Weve looked through the header files but cant find any settings that appear to control this.
