I tried to develop a simple app using http_server only, it requires around 400Kb of Flash,
is there a way to reduce this size by discharging unused libraries?
Show LessHi..
I had been using SDK-2.4.0 and recently I changed to SDK-2.4.1. I tried to run the UART receive program which I wrote in SDK-2.4.0 in the new SDK. The program worked fine in SDK-2.4.0 but it is not working properly in 2.4.1. The wiced_uart_receive_bytes() function always return WICED_ERROR.
This is my function call.
result = wiced_uart_receive_bytes( WICED_SELECTED_UART, receiveData, RX_BUFFER_SIZE ,receiveTimeOut);
when I checked the receiveData, it has received the data correctly. But still the function returns WICED_ERROR.
I went inside the function definition in
WICED-SDK-2.4.1/Wiced/Platform/common/ARM_Cortex_M3/STM32F2xx/stm32f2xx_platform.c
And found a line in platform_uart_receive_bytes() function.
uart_interfaces[uart].rx_dma_result = WICED_ERROR;
if ( timeout > 0 ){
host_rtos_get_semaphore( &uart_interfaces[uart].rx_complete, timeout, WICED_TRUE );
return uart_interfaces[uart].rx_dma_result;
}
I suspected "return uart_interfaces[uart].rx_dma_result" is always returning WICED_ERROR and when I commented it, the program is working fine.
In SDK-2.4.0, this line is not present (I compared this file with previous version).
Am I missing something ? Please help me. My eval board has BCM943362WCD4.

Show LessHello guys,
i've recently bought dev board from Stm Discowery Wifi which includes SN8200 module. Self St suggest to use it only with Discovery32F4 dev board and all their guides are only describing them in pair, but i want use only SN8200 as it all-in module.
I have installed WICED 2.4.1 on my mac, and connect SN8200 with Usb to ttl converter connected to uart, but i can't find in Wiced IDE menu my board. Maybe can someone help me?
Also in Starting Guide in description of board testing named snip_ping_.. file which also can't find in Wiced IDE.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Show LessHow do fix the debug configuration in Eclipse?
I am trying to debug an app on the BCM943362WCD4. I try to follow the instructions in the quick start guide section 4.3, "debug an application", but there is snip/ping directory. Instead I'm using the snip/scan target.
Step 4 says:
- Click the green bug icon on the WICED IDE toolbar (or press F11 on Windows® systems). The debugger starts.
But when I click the icon, I get an alert titled "Unable to Launch" which says "the selection cannot be launched, and there are no recent launches". Searching the web for this string tells me I should click the tiny dropdown next to the bug and create a new configuration. I have no idea how. Should it be a "GDB hardware debugging configuration" and what should it look like? I tried making one but it had unspecified "errors".
Another web search indicated that I should simply append "debug" to the target build string. I tried this too, so my target name looks like this:
"snip.scan-BCM943362WCD4-debug download debug".
This seems to do something useful, but it looks like the debugger quits very soon after launch:
Reading symbols from /Applications/WICED/WICED-SDK-2.4.0/build/snip_scan-BCM943362WCD4-debug/Binary/snip_scan-BCM943362WCD4-debug.elf...done.

A debugging session is active.
Inferior 1 [Remote target] will be detached.

How can I get debugging to work?

Show LessCan someone give me a guide to making a new project using WICED SDK 2.4.x?
I can build, run and modify the existing projects, but it isn't at all clear to me how I go about making a new project, the QSG only goes as far as running existing sample projects.
If I copy a folder (say Apps/snip/scan, and rename the folder and the two files therein, how do I get that to show up in the Project Explorer? Is it best to start a new project? What are the steps to do so?
any help gratefully received... Stuart
Show LessHi,
I am trying to evaluate the Murata module SN8200 by using the evaluation board SN8200EVK+. I have been able to use the SNICMonitor to read the temperature and configure the module to connect to our WiFi. Since we are planing to put our code in the module, to avoid using an extra MCU, I need to use JTAG to debug the code.
I have not been able to connect to the module through the Wiced-SDK, I get the error:
Downloading Bootloader ... I think that I have gotten all the drivers right, this is how it looks like in my device manager and the result from TestLibUsb.exe.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Is there a way the verify that OpenOCD is intsalled/working correctly?
Thank you,

Show LessAny document or demo app on DMA?
I see some documents that state that the IDE is supported on OS X. The link to download 2.4.1 makes it sound like the IDE is only supported on Windows. Please clarify.
